I am in the UK. A new Fitbit update (version 3.10) has just appeared on my iPhone.
In true Fitbit style, the update only notes ‘bug fixes and performance improvements’. No reference is made to what bugs it fixes. Perhaps it addresses the ongoing connectively issue, perhaps not. Who knows?!?!? We will soon find out, for sure!!!
Fingers crossed it does resolve matters, but in keeping with the totally inadequate and generic ‘advice’ repeatedly trotted out for the connectively debacle, they are not exactly going out of their way to advertise if this is ‘THE’ fix we have all been waiting weeks for, or is in actual fact a fix to address any one of a number of other ‘bugs’ or shortcomings with their devices.
We shall see......!!!

Read through the posts in almost all threads and you will see issues with connectivity or basic functionality. You may find that it does work. Sometimes.. for a while... Most of the time you see people having to try it repeatedly every evening. Repeated re-sets, uninstalls, Bluetooth settings, connecting, restarting the device. Some of us are getting more "steps" doing that than actually being able to track them. Fitbit says they have resolved issues. downdetector.com comments say maybe they haven't.

Fixed? The would day that wouldn’t they?!? Sadly........
Update post latest Version 3.10 Fitbit app update. Text notifications still don’t appear to be working. I have received a few text messages since installing the latest update. None of the text messages received caused my Fitbit to either vibrate or display the name of the text sender. I refuse to select options available through the current Fitbit advised work around in message notifications on my iPhone so the message is visible on my phone. I value my privacy. I will not compromise on that.
If this situation remains unresolved at the end of November, my account will be deleted and I shall move on with a new Apple Watch. By then I will have given Fitbit more than enough time to fix the connectivity issue. All the evidence available suggests the switch should be a lot less troublesome and well worth it.

This is unacceptable and has been going on for months on my Alta HR with my Samsung S9+. It can't take months and months for the geniuses at fitbit to update the hardware to receive notifications. My alta has been a paper weight in my bedroom since August as it's virtually worthless. We can only hope that Google purchasing you guys there is some reasonable sort of change management process implemented. I'll be wearing a galaxy fit by then I can assure you.

Most notifications are sporadic for me but iMessage notifications have pretty much been a no-go for ages. How on earth is this still going on?

That’s exactly how I felt when I saw them suggest this! I have found a work around:
Iphone settings
notifications
messages
show previews
when unlocked
this allows my messages to stay private unless I pick it up and it unlocks screen. I have the facial ID so my phone unlocks when I look at it.

Still no solution? Tried multiple reboots, uninstalled and reinstalled app, rebooted Fitbit. Still nothing. Really?!?

Tried and didn’t work for the old ionic or the new Versa I bought hoping it wouldn’t be an issue. My husbands charge 3 gets text messages....grrrr

Nope not an interruption but instead getting the same notification over and over literally every two min. The really odd thing? I deleted the calendar event (and all future repetitions of it) and I still get notifications every 2 min the day of.

Definitely not a good solution here and really defeats the purpose of the Fitbit notification feature.

I’ve noticed that my iPhone 7 (completely updated) has to be RESTARTED every morning in order to receive Fitbit Notifications from Versa 2.
Just updated last week from Charge HR2. (No issues with the charge).
I’ve completed all the steps mentioned beforehand but noticed notifications work sporadically.
Like mentioned earlier..... RESTARTING my iPhone every morning in order to receive notifications.
I hope this helps others out there
