Am I on the wrong thread?

We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13.

My issue is that I'm not getting the notifications on my FitBit including the silent alarms.  I get no vibrations when messages come in, when I'm nearing one hour without 250 steps, when I reach 10,000 steps, etc.  Nothing!  I have been using my fitbit as my alarm clock for over 3 years and now it doesn't work.  It visually goes off but NO vibration, when will this be fixed???

Best Answer

When will this be fixed? I’ve done these steps after each Fitbit update and nothing has worked. At this point, I’d like a refund or replacement of my Versa.

Hi there,

I seem to be having a different problem than others here. I get notifications for everything EXCEPT text messages. Phone calls, calendar, Instagram, etc.

OF NOTE: When I receive a phone call, the notification on my FitBit Blaze continues to vibrate long after I've answered my iPhone.

It’s been about a month for me with no notifications coming through. Extremely frustrating.

Is there any update to this? My Fitbit still isn’t receiving text messages and I’ve tried all the directions that are listed here multiple times.

Best Answer

Just contacted customer support re this and got the same reply as I did a month ago. They had me try to troubleshoot as we’ve all done, and that didn’t work. But their engineers are still working hard after 3 months, trying to resolve this problem 🙄. What a time for this to happen....right before Christmas. I won’t be buying a Fitbit product for myself or anyone else ever again. I can get a pedometer that functions this well at Target for $10!!!

I have the most recent iOS update 13.2.3. I downloaded it on Friday, 11/22/19. I don’t know if this made the difference or not because this is my first Fitbit, but downloading that update and doing the steps in my previous posts worked to get text messages to my Fitbit. Maybe I just had beginners luck. I don’t know. I do know I had to keep my Bluetooth and Location Services on which is something I used to never do for privacy reasons.

Hope Fitbit wakes up, seems like they don’t care

Remove the Fitbit from bluetooth devices. Remove the device from the app.

Go to settings, general, to the bottom, choose reset, and then reset all settings.

After the phone does its work:

Add the device again in the app, and say "yes" to all questions.

This worked on my Charge 2, Charge 3, Ionic, and Versa 2.

You will lose some setting on your phone, but no apps, music, mails, or documents.

These are the instructions I followed and it worked.

Didn’t work for me.

Nope. Both Apple iOS has had 3 updates since; and I believe FitBit has
done one. I have absolutely everything listed and NOTHING has worked. At
this point - fit bit even replaced my tracker unit (becuase it wasn't
holding a charge) and even that didn't change anything - still no
notifications.

Is notifications working for anyone yet? Like everyone else, I have tried all suggestions and they are still not working.

Only if it’s previews are on. So, no in my opinion, it’s NOT working. This is not how it was before. And I don’t want it or like it this way. No Fitbit for me for Again or for Christmas! Definitely going Apple Watch - which BTW, I was told to do. Shame on me.
