We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

I have an android, and without any upgrade on the system I have this issue some days now…it cannot be fixed. I tried everything. I can get calls, text messages but no notifications from the viber app, which is the one that I have chosen. It is on default for some reason and I can’t do anything about that

None of this seems to work for mine, very frustrating. Though my brothers blaze works as normal receiving texts like the iso update has no affect on his.

I’ve done both those suggestions and still nothing!  It’s 4 days since your last updated post. What is Fitbit doing to fix this issue??  I’m ready to get rid of my Fitbit and get an Apple Watch and tell anyone that can hear me not to ever get a Fitbit. I depend on getting texts on my Fitbit so much.  I am no beyond frustrated. I even did a “chat” with technical support and nothing helped. She told me to reset my phone and we were disconnected, duh!!  We tried several other things as well.

I have to contact with fitbit support also, so many people complaining for the same problem, somebody has to fix it finally. It is unacceptable of a company that masters on the smart watch market field, to dissatisfy her clients like this.
I am really dissapointed

Try this...

From Notifications, scroll down and click on the messages app, in options select SHOW PREVIEW ALWAYS. Let me know if that works.

IOS13.1 will be coming out soon so hopefully that will fix it. I was just trying everyone’s suggestion and this one worked for my Versa.

Even if you scroll down and select messages, then from there go to options?

  • This option doesn’t work for my Flex 2 as I don’t have any addition options under the Bluetooth settings. I’m just not receiving vibration notifications for calls and texts.
