We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

Exactly! This has absolutely nothing to do with the iOS update, although nice attempt and a diversion and deflection. This has been a problem for iOS AND Android for 3 months, regardless of any operating system update. It's a Fitbit problem. I haven't received any notifications since July on my Samsung S9. And Fitbit is not acknowledging anything.

I have the same problem.  I tried all the troubleshooting and it still didn’t work.  Called support and they said it’s a known issue and they took my information.  I hope they get a fix soon.

Nope, nope and NOPE. Nothing works. Starting to think Apple is behind this so we all go get Apple watches!!!

If that's the case, Google and Apple are playing in the sandbox nicely, because Android has not broken since July. That's about three updates ago.

My notifications were already working on my new iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 13. Was working during the day then stopped about 4pm. Only text notifications though. Everything else was/is still coming through. I’ve restarted my Fitbit, reinstalled the app.. u name it. So waiting to see what Fitbit tells me next!

You have to go to setting > notifications > messages and turn on text preview. I had this same issues with no text notifications since the update but as for now that’s the only way

I’m having the same issue with my Versa, I’m getting phone calls but not texts. Just hanging out waiting for an update 🙂

How does previewing my messages on my phone help the Fitbit get the notification?? I still get calendar events and calls notifying me on my Alta but only text stopped.

This is really a pain considering I rely on my watch so heavily. I’m constantly on the go and am a full time college student. I use my watch on the daily. Especially when my hands are filled with books or I’m in a class and can’t be on my phone. Heavily considering buying an Apple watch if this doesn’t get fixed soon.

I am receiving phone calls but my answer and decline buttons are not visible. And if I make a call out my blaze vibrates as if I am receiving a call for about 20 seconds each time.... this is crazy!

I have just uninstalled my Fitbit App on my phone and reinstalled it. Then went into the app and on to my Versa profile and enabled WhatsApp notifications again. This seemed to have worked for now.

I have done everything that is on the list to do for the Fitbit to work under the new IOS 13.1 and I still have no progress. I even cut my phone and the Fitbit off over night to see if the would rest to join and that didn’t work either. My Fitbit is not getting no notifications from my iPhone 6s Plus. I don’t know what to do now. What do I do??
