We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

I am having the same issue after upgrading to 13.1.2.  When i am in an active call my blaze will either continue to Notify of the incoming call, or it will continuously notify me that i have an active call (like every 10 seconds).

OS: 13.1.2

FitBit app version: 3.7

Fitbit Blaze version number: 17.8.402.1

Someone changed my Fitbit account email yesterday. I fixed that. Last night my iPhone did an update. Now today, i have noticed I’m getting no notifications sent to Fitbit. I have read older forums and did all the turning on/off of notifications and reboots but it’s still not working. Any advice?

Hello @SunsetRunner

I see your having notification issues. Fitbit is aware of this issue. I suggest keeping an eye on this thread where others are discussing this same issue. You might find discussions and tips in this thread that may help you here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3779290

This is what I know about this issue at this time: (you will get previews doing these)

Please look at and complete all these steps:

First open your Fitbit app

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

iOS device settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS device setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS device settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

Now Go to your Bluetooth:

  1. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
  2. Turn on the Share System Notifications.

😉 Please let me know if this helps answer your notifications issues

I uninstalled the Fitbit app on my phone and then reinstalled it. That
fixed my issue.

I’m a little frustrated that the only way to get text messages to my Fitbit now  is turning on the show preview on my iPhone. I just want to know when this will be updated? I don’t like that everyone can read my text messages now.

Switch to an Apple Watch it’s much better you can get it for 199 on apple’s website and you’ll be able to receive texts and phone calls on it with no problem. I bought mine from my phone company but I’m returning it and getting it from Apple because it’s too expensive on my phone bill

Where are you seeing the watch for that price? Is it an older series of watch?

this did not work for me. I even reinstalled my FitBit app. I’m not sure which I’m more frustrated with -my iPhone or my Fitbit

I just replaced my Fitbit IONIC watch -- because it died, and because over a year ago it stopped displaying text messages, supposedly due to an IOS update.  I bought another expensive Fitbit watch -- the VERSA 2 -- and within only a couple days, it too has stopped displaying ALL messages, supposedly due to an IOS update.  I'm beginning to regret not buying an Apple Watch.

I am getting very annoyed and very frustrated.  Not only is my Charge 3 STILL not syncing to my Phone, my device is now four minutes behind.  When I pull the screen down it says "syncing and refreshing" but then the screen goes back up and nothing changes. I am going to attempt to restart my device to see if it will work and sync.
