We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

I have an Alta HR & updated to iOS 13.1.2 yesterday. Since the update I have stopped receiving call/text/calendar notifications on my Fitbit. I tried the troubleshooting tips in this article, but I’m still bot receiving notifications. Any idea when this will be fixed? I rely on them during the workday.

Me too! I use it for work and very upset they haven’t given us any real
solutions to fix and no one from Fitbit seems to have any answers. Good luck

Issue still unresolved with new Fitbit app update (3.7). Bought the versa 2 because of continuing notification issue with charge 3. Wasted $200 on versa 2, should have just bought the Apple Watch. Will be dropping Fitbit soon if no resolution. Can’t you at least provide an update??

versa 2, iOS 13.1.2, iPhone XS

That is my thought. You would think by now something would have been done

I did to. Uninstalled the app reinstalled and reset and still nothing. Their suggestions at this point  are useless

I made the mistake of upgrading from 12.4.1 to 13.1.2 and am considering downgrading while I have the opportunity.

I don't think I backed up the fitbit app and data. I'm not a long-time fitbit user but would prefer not to lose the backdata. Can I be assured that this persists and I can access it if I have to re-install the app?

I actually found that post to fix my Charge 2! Sorry you haven't had success. I thought about the Apple watch if I couldn't get this fix.

Ok... I got mine fixed.  I did a factory reset and set the device up again as if brand new.  That resolved all my issues.  The device itself needed to update, not just the app.

Yes that’s what I did as well and mine started working again. However, the device still needs to be updated.
