Nothing is working. My Charge is fully charged. I've plugged the Charge 2 into my computer; updated the app, then deleted app and downloaded app again; reset my Charge 2; turned my phone off/on; attempted auto sync and update tracker, turned Iphone Bluetooth off/on; removed my Charge 2 from my acct; attempted to add my Charge 2 on my acct... it still won't sync. Message I keep getting is "It's not working -make sure power is turned on"...

Agree. Get an apple watch. It works and the band does not break every few months.

go into the fitbit app, under your account click on device, should ask to pair, after I repaired it in the app I hit sync now, and after i did this and it worked..
(so far) hope this helped

Unfortunately, since I followed all the various 'fixes' in this thread, one being to remove my device from my account and then try to 'set up new device'... the only option I continue to have is to 'set up a device' as the dang thing won't sync. Still not working. Still useless to the purpose for which it was bought.

This only works temporarily. Stops working within a few hours.

Tried this. Synced once. Then stopped syncing. This is NOT a solution.

Exactly! Why won’t the people at Fitbit listen and be honest about this problem?

Not working for me.

None of these have worked for me. I have spent hours with people who know what they’re doing, trying to fix the syncing issue. Still doesn’t work. You say Fitbit are aware of the issue. I’m sure some are but, on twitter customer support, any question receives a response which is just patronising and doesn’t recognise that there is actually an issue. I would never buy a Fitbit again after this - I have been unable to sync for over a month. My exercise is updating randomly. Useless. Absolutely useless.

Nope. Sorry. Didn’t work on iPhone 7. ☹️

HOLY IT&T, Batman!!! I dug through this tread searching for anything I may have missed and by golly this worked! NO thanks to Fitbit but KUDOS to you ktrem489... THANK YOU !!! Go into iPhone settings-> Notifications > scroll to and click “Messages”> switch “Show previews” to “Always” ...at least for now; we'll see.

I tried that too. Sadly didn’t work for syncing issues. Did you use it for the message issue?

My Charge 2 wouldn't sync at all to my new iPhone. Once I completed... <Go into iPhone settings-> Notifications > scroll to and click “Messages”> switch “Show previews” to “Always”> ...my unit immediately began to sync without further action, other than having the Fitbit app open at the same time and following the apps instructions for entering codes, etc.
Holy smoke, Batman - data galore... all the information stored on my Fitbit that I had not been able to access on the app for the past 4 months, magically appeared!

Finally from Fitbit - acknowledgement that there is a problem. Not just individual issues, but a problem that won’t be solved until Fitbit resolves the issue.

It’s inconceivable that their engineers couldn’t have solved this issue within two weeks. We’re up to version 13.3.

I just updated to iOS 13.2.1 today (2/1/2020) and finally fixed the messaging issues.
