Hi all 

 

my charge 2 is syncing to my iPhone but cannot receive messages on fitbit. Does anyone have the same trouble?

Hi @Amylou94. It's nice to see a new face around. I'm sorry for my delayed response.

 

Thanks for sharing that you have a Charge 2, and let me help you with the notifications issue. As you may know there are certain conditions that will allow you to receive text messages, so please make sure of the following:

 

  • The software on your iPhone is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Fitbit app is also updated to the latest version.
  • Your Fitbit device and phone are within 20 feet.
  • The Do Not Disturb settings are off.
  • To avoid any interference, turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.

 

Once that is done, please try the following:

  1. Remove your device from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Reboot your phone and restart your Charge 2.
  3. On your phone's settings tap Notifications > Messages and make sure the three options under alerts are enabled.
  4. On your Charge 2, hold the left button for a few seconds to turn on notifications.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap the profile's icon > Charge 2 > Sync now.
  6. Wait until it syncs and tap on Notifications. Proceed to pair via Bluetooth when prompted.

This finally worked for me, so am now getting text message notifications on my Fitbit Charge 2 from my iPhone XR.
