Hi my voice notification is enabled for my iPhone 5 with my charge but text and calendar is not working. Any suggestions

I used to get text and phone notifications. I’ve tried everything to get it to allow notifications to come through but no success. I also continue to have to plug in and push the button as suggested to get it to sync and set my alarm or show my steps etc. Very sad as I have had issues with every single Fitbit device I’ve purchased.
