After trying everything on the internet to troubleshoot why I stopped receiving text message alerts on my Alta HR... the problem was in my Message setting on my iPhone. Settings>Notifications>Messages and under Alerts ensure “Show in History” is on.

After some iOS updates, “show in history” is no longer an option. Any new alternatives to this? Phone calls and emails are showing up, but not texts.
