Hello Fitbitters.
2 parts of the same problem.
a) I have a red dot permanently sitting in the Notifications on the bottom of the iPhone App (iPhone 6)
b) The notifications are not current - throughout the day I get messages on my phone to say what I have achieved but these are not stored in the notifications section. The most current is June 22.
I've tried logging out of App and switching off phone.
Any answers much appreciated.

Sadly not a solution. I've made sure all notifications have been read. They aren't up to date either - the most recent is 22nd June and although I get alerts during the day as to my progress they don't show up in the Notification section - although the dreaded red dot does!
Thanks for your thoughts anyway.

Then I would just sync to make sure steps are up to date, and then delete the app and reinstall it.

Just realized I have the same problem. Maybe like me, you see the red dot and occasionally click and see a long list of posts that say something like “hey so and so has posted for the first time in a while! Check it out!” And then you — don’t check it out. I just went through and clicked on about 30 old notifications changing the color from blue (unread) to white (read) and that cleared the red dot. I suspect that the will disappear in a few days now that I’ve “read” them but that does not appear to happen immediately.
Hopefully that solves your problem. Let us know!

Hi Marco
Part one solved - no red dot any more.
However, non of the notifications show up on the app in the notifications section - the latest one is still June 22nd.
Any clues?

Has anyone found out how to make the red dot in notifications go out? This is only on my iPhone 6 and not my iPad.

Yes, I did uninstall and it did not help. What’s strange is that my husbands account is fine on my phone.

Odd that it shows up just on your iPhone but not on your iPad. I haven't seen any other comments about this issue since my posts last August. When I had the problem, it was because had not cleared the notifications, and uninstalling the app seemed to work for the other person who posted.
Sorry I don't have any other ideas.

joining the conversation, I have the red dot as well even though I stopped getting notifications on the App back in June (no issues with bluetooth notifications). What's odd is that the red dot went away for awhile and is suddenly back!

I have got the same too. I have an iPhone 7 and looking on my home screen at the Fitbit App Icon, there is no red dot. However I open the Fitbit app, and at the bottom, the red dot appears on 'Notifications' I select it, and it automatically moves to messages, suggesting there is an unread message there, but there is none! It clears it then, but when I go back to the app later, it is back again.
I have done everything! I've deleted the app, reset the phone, re-installed it, all multiple times and nothing is working! It only started yesterday (23/01/2019)
Please can a fix for this be found soon! An update, anything! It is so frustrating.

@MarcoGFitbit I have the same issue, no new notifications either. App has been removed and reinstalled, I've logged out / back in / restarted my phone several times. Every single notification has been read but still the red dot. This is since the latest app update.
