The permanent red dot in Notifications

 Hello Fitbitters.

2 parts of the same problem. 

a) I have a red dot permanently sitting in the Notifications on the bottom of the iPhone App (iPhone 6)

b) The notifications are not current - throughout the day I get messages on my phone to say what I have achieved but these are not stored in the notifications section. The most current is June 22.

I've tried logging out of App and switching off phone. 

Any answers much appreciated.

It's been six months since you've said that you're aware of this issue.  Having a notification that won't clear out is aggravating.  Any ETA for a solution?

This is happening to me as well. My Android app says I have 4 notifications/messages but when I click on this button the messages aren't displayed and the red circle doesn't go away.

I've had this issue for over a year. I cannot get an answer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. There is a red dot like I have a new message but there are no messages. It's very annoying.

I have finally found the solution to this after 9 months. I logged out of the app and logged back in and the notification red dot thing cleared.

Brilliant. Worked for me with Charge 5 and iPhone XR.
