Hello Fitbitters.
2 parts of the same problem.
a) I have a red dot permanently sitting in the Notifications on the bottom of the iPhone App (iPhone 6)
b) The notifications are not current - throughout the day I get messages on my phone to say what I have achieved but these are not stored in the notifications section. The most current is June 22.
I've tried logging out of App and switching off phone.
Any answers much appreciated.

I'm having the same issue and have also uninstalled, reinstalled, logged out, logged back in, etc. It's just annoying.

Same permanent red dot in notifications here. Thread notes this issue as "Solved" but it obviously is not.

Hello @rtuell, @Sjohnz, @SunsetRunner, @Erisangela, @Christine00, @epeacock, @MRSmith1962, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you too @Ruthmck, I hope you're doing well.
Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We’re aware of it, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. We'll continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers. We understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products.
When it comes to in-app Notificaitons, step-based goal Notifications, were removed on June 2018 as it was heavily requested by many people. These notifications only arrive to your phone as push Notifications now.
We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I too am having the same RED DOT issue. I have followed suggestions of reinstalling app, but no luck here either. And no new notifications since October. Also cant clear old notifications either.

<facepalm> Months have passed. Why is this still an issue? I’ve deleted the app and have no unread notifications. None of the suggested fixes worked for me. I despise those red dots, not just Fitbit’s, but from all apps. At least I’m able to take care of the ones that aren’t Fitbit.

Same problem here - I have a Charge 3 and an iPhone SE. I have had the red dot on notifications since August 7th 2018 and my one and only notification is from August 7th 2018 also, so I haven’t had any notifications at all since then in the notification tab. It is currently May 24th 2019 for reference, and nothing has solved this at all.

Did you do something specific or did it just sort itself out without any input from you?

I don't know why this problem is marked as resolved when it clearly isn't. A quick Google/Fitbit Community search reveals multiple threads with multiple users complaining that this issue still exists. What's really frustrating is Fitbit's reply:
"At this moment, our team is aware of this situation, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future."
This is just not good enough. If there are multiple users experiencing a problem that can't be resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, logging out, or restarting the phone, then it's a problem that demands a fix in the immediate future, not the flakey, non-committal answer provided.
I am currently experiencing this issue. Nothing that's been suggested has resolved it, and to be quite frank, the deplorable level of service from Fitbit on this issue and many others I've experienced over the years is making the decision to move to another fitness tracker a hell of a lot easier.

My Red Dot has been on my iOS iPhone X app, Fitbit notifications since October of 2018 when I first installed my new Versa! I don’t even get notifications for anything but I have the :red_circle: would be great if Fitbit would provide a fix for this!!
