Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

How do we switch back to the old App? This new one is horrific and is causing horrific sensory issues to me? Why did they have to ruin something that has worked great for 20 years. I’m ready to throw all Fitbit products away now, they are worthless if this app cannot be changed.

This update has all of my family and friends ready to leave Fitbit after years!  I know lots of us are saddened and disappointed and… shopping for new trackers (not sold by Google. I will ignore their new products) What trackers look best to you all so far?  Maybe we can share opinions and research to speed our transition away from Fitbit.

Following. I’m in the same boat. Lost my streaks even.

I agree. It’s horrible.

I’ve been deliberately NOT downloading the latest update for months, because so many people on here have reported that it screwed their Fitbit up and rendered it useless, but this morning it seems to have ignored my preference and given me this hideous new format regardless. I hate it.

Fitbit obviously don’t believe in the old adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” whilst simultaneously not bothering to fix the things it should be fixing, like the inaccurate floors readings and other counts.

I wonder if this reply will get taken down - any time I’ve had the audacity to complain about Fitbit, my post has been deleted after a telling off from one of the forum staff/ mods.

I know what you were thinking. NOTHING!
This update is absolutely awful, we cannot order the metrics in our own way.
We only have the option of moving blocks of metrics up or down. Not each individual metric up or down.
You should FIRE the product manager of the app.
It really drives me away from Fitbit. Well done! NOT

we need the battery percentage status level & charging status back on the main screen. This should be idenitified as a bug and be fixed.😀

We should not have to vote to bring back a basic functionalit requirement that we have had for years.😊

how do we switch back to pld fitbit app. I need the battery charging level & charging status.

good suggestions re color, and bring back the battery status.

Will there be an update to this horrendous new dashboard ?  Can’t get the 5 main activities on top screen (please don’t tell me to use the pencil as that does not work. Why wouldn’t you have options for distance, steps, calories, active minutes AND stairs climbed ?

I’ve  been a Fitbit member for years and have fought against an Apple Watch because the dashboard was a quick and easy read. Now, it is NOT.

have to scroll for ages to see stairs climbed, sleep and BPM.
there is no way, to change the order of these outside the metrics.

who in the world tested this and thought it was a good idea. Why take things away and yet still charge us more for the product?

im so annoyed

The new app got rid of the things that motivated me. So now I’m motivated to find a new device and app. I just canceled premium and I’m shopping for a new device.

The battery on the submenu says battery full but it is only 85%.  and there is no indication if it is charging.  please fix.  what we had worked well.

who decided to take it off the main screen and take away functionality. Were people complaining about the battery status?

I hate this new dashboard - it worked much better before. I find it harder to track my calories and how many I have left compared to my steps. I get fed up when apps seem to be updated for the sake of it rather than for the user

Sorry to be negative, but where is all the color and all the fun? Fitbit had lots of color and was the most interesting app to use but now… I don’t know if I’ll stay with Fitbit if the app stays this way… I miss the old one. This interface is way to “clean” and boring.

Very disappointed in the new app version for the Versa 3.   No longer shows battery level when syncing.  Homepage looks like it’s made for nearly blind people with everything much bigger so you have to scroll more to see everything.  Heart rate on homepage no longer tells you if you are in fat burn/cardio mode, just the heart rate.  Any way to revert back to the prior revision?  Definitely thinking of switching to the Apple Watch after this serious blunder of a release, especially after getting the Versa 4 and returning it to go back to the Versa 3 because the heart rate monitor sucked!!

This is not an improvement. Please provide an option for premium users to revert to the original landing page or watch a revolt by many unhappy customers. How this new landing page passed QC is a mystery.

Not only that, but you can no longer set up a weight loss plan with a calorie deficit. So I would now have to manually to the maths throughout the day to see if I’m on track. They have stripped all useful functionality from the app.

I now can’t manage weight loss as I can’t do a calorie deficit. What’s the point as that’s the only reason I bought the watch was to have it tell me my calorie allowance for the day based on how much I had exercised. It’s awful

Wow! really? I wasn't aware of that. One more reason to fire the responsible Manager!

Dear Fitbit,

In my various years of hanging round different tech forums, I don't think I've seen a product or offering nosedive like this. Seriously, look at the feedback here and on other threads.

You have persistently reduced functionality, taking away features that users enjoy and make use of without warning.

You have dumbed down the app to remove numerical stats like calory numbers, again, without warning.

Following workouts on a mobile phone is a bl**dy joke, and potentially dangerous, yet you killed console/tv/web apps.

Cancellation is problematic, you're hiding customer bio data behind paywalls (in the UK, what would happen if we were to send you a subject access request under the Data Protection Act?)

What the hell is going on at Fitbit? You seem hell bent on destroying the product and related services by stripping it down to some kind of "minimum viable product".

How long before you start monetising it with ads?

Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @Norilou!

Sad to hear about your initial impressions of the new Fitbit app. Clearly such massive changes in design need time to get settled in. To get you accustomed to the new design as comfortably as possible, please have a look here:

What an awful update. From a great app, to this mess. Maybe it’s time to look for a new watch.

I so used to enjoy the weekly graphs and the quarterly averages. Gave me something to work to every week.

Where are they Fitbit ?

Where is the daily historical data? Why only one week of data without having to swipe to a prior week?

Instead of less work to see more stats, I have to keep my fingers moving on the app.
Not very insightful.
