Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

That is what I am wondering. I see some people going with Garmin. I think if we compare notes it will help all of us make good informed decisions… and… maybe Fitbit will fix this nonsense… 🤞🏼
I. Hope. I used to love Fitbit.

Remember Windows 8 ?
Be as smart as Microsoft was and bring back the old interface and functionality.

With the recent Fitbit update the battery status icon was removed. Apparently to get it restored to the front page we have to vote for that. It makes it so much easier to remember to charge the Fitbit if the low battery prompt is easily visible. Please vote.

Oh! @SunsetRunner Thank you for sharing this. Makes absolutely zero sense as most of us after this abysmal customer service debacle will never buy Google products but…

Definitely not a fan of their updates. It took a little to adjust to the previous update and now this one… simply horrible! Time to look for a new user friendly non-Fitbit devise.

What you see under the food tab is the amount of calories left based on what you have done at that moment in time. You are correct that is the same as the old app. What is missing is what was on the main screen of the old app. That was an estimate of how many calories you had left for the entire day based on an estimated expenditure level for the rest of the day.

This is an awful way to treat your customers. All, and I mean ALL, of the feedback you are receiving about this update is negative. And what is your response? Say nothing and switch off replies to a new post to try and replace this one. Shocking that you are being so blatantly obvious in your disregard for your customers. If I was a cynic I’d say that you made this update deliberately bad because you eventually want everyone to switch to Google watches. Looks like I might have to buy myself an Apple Watch now.
----
Google want to eventually discontinue Fitbit and get everyone to buy Google watches instead. This terrible update is deliberate.

When looking back to previous days step totals why do you make it count up? Just show the number. It is annoying to wait and watch it count up.

Darling, I don't think you understand the question.

You need to put the battery level indicator back! It is mission-critical!

The new app is absolutely horrendous. Cannot see the information that is most important to me.

Come on! The battery level info is on the watch along with many other details. I’m not excited about this update.

I don’t like the new dashboard lay out. Is there a way to get the old one back?

@spaceman23, agreed! Those Apple Watches are overpriced, but what are we to do? 🤔

I hope Fitbit heard all of our complaints and brings back the old app interface. We are all looking at other trackers now and I haven’t found one that tracks goal streaks … BUT… there is an app called Streaks that will sync with Apple Watch and maybe Garmin that will track streaks! If this is the case I’m definitely done with Fitbit and will jump to Apple Watch. Check out the app Streaks! Saw one review that specifically mentions the desire to leave Fitbit and that this app made Thad possible if you miss streaks!

@laufen While on the "Today" screen, click the pencil in the upper right hand corner.
Under "Choose Focus", swipe left to see options.
All the way at the end is a "Custom preset", which actually works. 👍

Thank you @Jfyifylnvb for suggesting leaving a review on the App Store. I just did. People need to be warned about how awful this update is. I’m heading out to get an Apple Watch. Sad to see a great product be ruined by people who care nothing about their consumers!

@Jfyifylnvb Wow! Thanks for the info, & thanks so much for doing all of that research for us! 👏

I hate this new change. I've already had to re-add my Luxe 6 times since the change. Steps have gone away. It won't read my sleep or give me a readiness score anymore. This is absolutely awful! Please give me back the old app and my missing steps! I've already wasted so much time with these new "improvements"!
