Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

The new app doesn’t seem to show the streak count for my days reaching my step goal. Is it still available? I really miss that.

why do they do this without taking their customers into consideration? Go back to the previous format.

Clearly such massive changes in design need time to get settled in.

You mean: Clearly such massive changes in design need time to get pushed down the throat?

It is gone.  It is so sad!   That was why I used Fitbit.   I’m still hoping that google will fix this.  Most of us are leaving Fitbit.  It’s all over Reddit too.

They just change the layout I see on my phone.  I don't like it at all. I want the other one back. The steps were in the center circles, now the steps are not anywhere and heart rate is in center circle. This layout is useless to me.. can this be fixed?

Might want to switch to Duck Duck Go (search engine) as well.

Owned a fitbit since 2016.  Anyone else feel like the new look and feel is too much of a nod to Apple iWatch format? Loved the old format much better.

I am being open about changing, as long as the improvement is noticable.

The new app is not as practical. I used to find a lot more information in a single screen with very organized information, not only that, the colors made a huge visual impact in my motivation. The new app is blend, font is huge, there's missing data (I can't find my exact monthly steps, I only get a monthly avg... I have goals based on monthly count, this is biggest for me), where are the little fun messages about completing an exercise?, overall the new app is just displaying data, there's nothing fun or visual about it, the theme is not personal. This app used to be my side assistant, giving me visual motivation. I don't feel that from new app. I was going thinking on getting the newest charger. Now I might have to wait and see if the app is giving me what it used to, and I'm taking beyond data.

If there's a way to choose between the new app and the old, please let me know.

I have been a Fitbit user for 8 years (yes since the device with 5 dots) and been fine with every app redesign. Until this one. I'm open to change but wow is it horrible. So horrible I made a profile on here just so I could express how horrible it is. Please make it go away.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" was the very first thing that went through my head this morning when I saw the new interface. The old one was great, this one stinks.

Completely agree! I want my steps to be the dominant count and now it’s calories and I could care less - don’t want that - just want to track my steps and cannot figure out how to get that back (if at all).  Not happy.

The display on my app has updated, but I don't like it. It doesn't record broken sleep, and battry power is no longer displayed.

How do I roll back to the previous version that I liked?

Hi @cvanp there is no way to change it back to the previous app. Fitbit doesn't have to get our permission to change things. See Section 18 of the Terms of Service.

Hi @Jane34  you can see the battery strength on the Charge 5 itself. With the new app, things have changed.

Hi @Marielaelizabet no, you can't decide which app to use. It's set up to use the latest app for your operating system and there is no way to change it back to the previous app. Fitbit doesn't have to get our permission to change things. See Section 18 of the Terms of Service.

A couple of days ago my app changed so that I cannot track my individual walks and can't receive progressive updates on walking stats, eg. distance per kilometre, timing etc. It's not until after I'm finished my walk that I can go in and look at the stats. How can I get back to the original setup?

Just because Fitbit is legally entitled to update their apps doesn't mean they have the right to annoy their users.

I had 978 days of 10,000 steps and as of 2 days ago, it was gone with what, when I called, they said it is an app upgrade, when I called a nice operator said the new app. Does not have this anymore, this is bulls$&@, please support to get this back without resetting our milestones that we accomplished

Every time Fitbit makes and update it’s for the worse!!
the new style/UX are just awful. And the tracked days of goals no longer appear.
Last time there was an “upgrade” they took away the team challenges. WHY Fitbit? Are you actively trying to lose customers?

I hate the idea of an Apple Watch but it may be time to ask Santa.

Well, I hope it's looked at in the next update to bring it back in. That
was a great feature that I relied on to push through new barriers. I have
seen other comments where activities are not being recorded.
