Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

This is exactly how I feel. The old UI gives excitement, this new one gives disappointment. Initiate blackout plan for change pls.

Me too I don’t like it at all the new Aa display is all over the place, unfriendly and annoying. I some of the important features are not even available

I am with you. What a terrible update, a lot of Fitbit users are disappointed with this change. I just ended the chat with the Fitbit tech support requesting the same and they said unfortunately we don’t have the option to go back to the previous one…

Horrible update, annoying display and waste of time. Sad I has been a loyal Fitbit user to the point that I have an Apple what that I don’t use. Now I will give it a try.. bad update.

This is awful!!!

I also miss the animations when I hit my goals. It’s such a simple thing but it became a reward. You’d think it was silly but Vegas runs on that.

Sucks big time. Bringing back the old one.

Also we’re the total miles for the week. Don’t care about steps per day.

My screen changed and I absolutely hate it! I am stuck with how many steps I took at the top, which is of no interest to me at all. How many calories I burned is at the top of my priorities, followed by how many calories I've eaten, and how many calories I can still eat for the whole day. All of that was right on my home screen. I have been completely unable to edit what I see on my home screen. AAAaaauuuugghhh!!!!! How do I get the info back that I rely on to keep me on track every day?

The missing battery :battery: charge indicator on the dashboard is definitely a pain. I just had to put my Sense2 on the charger to check it's battery status. I'm upset about losing the GPS function when walking. Just updated the Fitbit app on my Android phone tonight and went for a walk, except there was no GPS widget to turn it on to map my walk.

I vote go back to the previous APP for sure! 🙌

I am sorry but the new iOS app is truly awful. It wasn’t broken but it is now. A practical functional and useful layout has been replaced with a piece of abstract year 1 graphic design. Please give all loyal users the option to revert back asap

It is not an improvement at all. It is more time consuming to check your history to compare to current stats. It takes so long I am not even sure if you can go back to the beginning. I am very disappointed and annoyed

I just got the update of the new Fitbit app and I really dislike it. it’s less practical and ugly 😣

the graphics are big so I have less of an overview and need to scroll down. There is less choice to customize the things I want to see in my starting screen. I preferred the type of info to be grouped and colour coded.
Is there any way I can revert back to the old app?

Best Answer

Agreed. It horrible. I don’t even want to look at it anymore.

@Odyssey13    What is Fitbit going to do about this?  We haven’t seen any feedback at all on ALL of the complaints.

Best Answer

@Odyssey13  should we all just get new non Fitbit or google trackers now? Is it at all possible this app will go back to the way it was?   Reddit is filled with unhappy angry Fitbit users as well looking At switching and the anti google sentiment is strong

@Jfyifylnvball we can do is wait and see if Fitbit releases additional information. Fitbit employees who post here are Moderators and have Fitbit as the last part of their name. I'm just a member of the forum who helps out by answering posts where possible.

My app has recently updated and it’s awful- bland and not the friendly comforting app I’ve been used too. Why on earth have they changed to this bland unappealing app that doesn’t even show my profile. I now have to jump through hoops to access all my settings. It’s not as though the features work properly. I have to reset my watch weekly to get the phone sync working. And no I don’t want to change to a Google account- I brought a Fitbit not a Google watch- definitely changing to an Apple Watch- I’m just so disappointed and fed up with the not cool changes

The one reason I stayed with Fitbit was the app, so much better than the rest.  The update is definitely a backward step but at least you can go back to the old dashboard.  If the Apple Watch had a longer battery life then it would be a no brainer.  Fitbit needs to learn how to interact with its customers, imposition is rarely welcomed.

Sorry but you can’t go back. I was looking at an old post…
