Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I am hating the updated Fitbit App. It does not seem to work as effectively as the previous app. The new app doesn’t show heart rate, sleep hours and countless other details. Does anyone know if this is user error or is Fitbit forcing us to upgrade to premium to see the info?

i wish i could go back to the previous app 😫 any advice is welcomed!

Hi! Since my app received the update, it no longer properly works. It does not properly sync with the phone anymore. Contacting the support seems impossible. And to be honest i preffered the previous design. I am really disappointed. Only going downhill since the Google takeover.

I really REALLY don’t like the new app style.
I wasn’t asked if I wanted to change 😠.It needs changing back!

You can't see totals (you know like the totals I've been able to easily view over the last 7 years). Instead it's been made (forced) to averages only. There isn't an edit I can to change this. This has happened with the last app update.

I too am about to find another fitness tracker. The reason I have stayed as long as I have is to compare, go back and view current totals to past totals.

Been using Fitbit for 7years, now with this new app update it so ugly it makes me look for an other tracking device. Please change the app back. If you cant do better, please dont mess with it.

I agree 110%. I just replaced my Versa 3, for a Versa 4, because it died.  So I can't afford to go buy from another company.

I agree! I rarely looked at the average stats but looked at the totals - especially for each week and to compare week on week.
Average stats ok over the longer term but I’m more regularly interested in weekly total steps.
In fact it was the weekly step total Fitbit sent in the progress report email each week. This was a bit of fun with a friend and I.
Weird ‘update’. Surely it wouldn’t be difficult to include the weekly total on one of the screens?
The new app doesn’t give me the information I would find useful.
Guess I’m searching for alternatives despite this being my third Fitbit ………

I hate it too. When completing a run the app always rounds to the nearest min which is pretty crap, but at least you could  see mins and secs on the elevation graph on the old app, however the new app does not have elevation graph so no way of getting exact time for your run  I was going to upgrade to the charge 6 but am now going to change to a completely different device and say goodbye to fitbit

I truly don’t like this update. Adding features is fine, but the new layout is incredibly frustrating. I can’t even seem to edit my screen so that what I care about it at the top. I’m stuff with sleep score, steps and mindful stuff when I used to have active minutes, steps, calories burned and miles walked. In addition, you can’t see your battery which while I know you can check your watch for is still annoying. Please reconsider at least the old layout for the main screen or ability to better customize it as well as return the battery.

I hate the new look, it’s dreadful, I can’t easily see my stats it’s like it was designed by a 3 year old. Is there a way to go back to the old dashboard before the update?

Best Answer

Is there an option to get the old design back? I don’t like this new version

Hi @Sledgurl - did you know if you just got a watch, Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

I agree this ‘update’ is a backward step. Totally devoid of colour, too busy to look at compared to the old version, the old version showed better info in a more compact way. No battery level indicator on front screen. I agree with earlier comments - looks like it was written by a 1st year computer science student.

BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION!!!!
