Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

It sucks. I want the old interface back. Searching for how I can return to it.

What we want is the old version restored! Why give us something that most dislike.

To decipher the battery level after this latest update is terrible! The new look looks like it’s the first app to ever hit the market. Doesn’t consistently auto-sync workouts. Bring back the old app look and features!

Totally agree, have lost the bit were it tells me straight away what exercise/calories I've burnt after a workout

The text on mine is too pale and I cant read it. If I click on say sleep, text goes black then back to pale. Hate this

Thanks for this information on navigating changes to customizing dashboard. I have worked on my own dashboard to make it what I want to see and use, BUT…l still strongly hate the overall look and function compared to what it was a few days ago. I don’t know what other fitness watches and apps look like but I will be looking for something that is closer to what we used to have before Google decided to do an “Elon Musk” on Fitbit.

Yikes, this app redesign is terrible.

Harder to read, too much whitespace, font is unappealing. If this is Google, they missed the boat on this one. Makes me want to look at other activity monitors.

Totally! It's so clunky & just a pain to use. I'm having to force myself to log in now, such a shame! I hate it.

The new app is just not good, please revert back to old app and go back to the drawing board...

This latest update will make me not want to buy another one!

I used to be able to turn my phone sideways and get all the sleep stages and their percentages on one screen. Now I don’t even get all the percentages. Can’t imagine why you see that as identical.

You found the battery status? Where?

I don't like it either...

I’ve had the Fitbit for over five years, and I’ve enjoyed the app until now. It’s got no personality, it’s hard to read, and it’s sterile looking. From what I’m reading, Google has taken over Fitbit now? That’s way too much personal information in one business. But it also explains the app redesign. I hate it.

I absolutely hate the new format! I bought the Fitbit for ease of use, forget that it’s now worthless for me. Going to check out the Apple Watch , can’t stand this new app.

I know how irritating. Screen has red battery sign saying charge me …. I used to view in the app and charge as necessary

Exactly. The style is also very "blah". I prefer the previous one.

Thank you for this update. I was in big doubt about if I should wear my Charge 5 all the time, but now I will solely use it for running and as an alarm when sleeping. I already unsubscribed to Premium, because the extras make no sense and now, with this redesign, which still lacks a Dark Mode (one the biggest requests from the community) it is crystal clear to Fitbit does not care at all for their customers. We could have known since the sold out to Google, which also does not care for their customers (Nest being in limbo at the moment, Stadia was a total cluster-f, Youtube getting cramped with ads, etc).

Google should have stayed a search engine.

Yours is not to reason why, yours is but to do and die.

How can I revert back to the old design? I will sadly need to look into switching to another tracking app.

Best Answer

Goodness me what a mess you have made of this Google Fitbit !

open up the ability to revert to the previous IOS GUI or this will indeed prove to.be your ‘ Ratner moment ‘.This has been a textbook case of appalling customer management .
