Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Hi Lizzy…great move, looking on the comments fitbit continues to do everything to destroy itself…I will look deeply into moving my data to apple…

Been a premium user for 4 years but I’ve had it with Fitbit. Put up with a lot lot of erratic app behavior but this new dashboard is really hard to take, I can’t stand its washed out appearance. Tried to find a way to roll back to old app but no luck. I liked a lot about my Fitbit watches and app but this is the last straw, I’m going elsewhere.

I HATE the new app. Everything I’m used to seeing is gone. Please change it back or have an option for those of us who like the old style. Thank you.

I agree.  I called customer support as not seeing the active day streak anymore is sad.  I was at a 426 day 10,000 step streak and just like that, it's gone.  They said that was not included in the update.  Did they even ask for any support or suggestions as what we may like about the old app?  Now the battery just says full/medium or low.  I needed the exact percentage as my screen is not visible any longer.

I have used Fit Bit for close to 8 years, now I feel I may have to search to find other options, sad.

I’m not impressed with the new app at all and I’ve only had my Fitbit for 5weeks and then this ridiculous looking new app appears and I feel like I’m 12…!
PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK for the older generation…! We don’t like change much 🫣

@dlucas7 was just going to say its funny how they are silent. usually a moderator is about to answer people and also tell people off for replying too much lol. i haven't witnessed any other thread grow this quick and have everyone in complete agreement. 57 pages now of everyone saying how much they hate it and also each comment has loads of votes!

Previously, I could see all the stats I wanted at a glance. Now the numbers are so enormous I have to scroll to see everything. Plus the numbers counting up like a slot machine every time I open the app or refresh is super annoying.
The battery charge percentage is missing. That was useful information that was taken away. Why?
I liked the list style of daily step totals that used to appear below the graphs. The graphs have always been too small to identify any actual numbers. I prefer to scan a list to see my stats for the previous week AND earlier. That feature seems to be gone for steps, although it still exists for heart rate and sleep. For steps, now it only has the past few days and an average.

This App is the absolute worst and I can't believe FITBIT is not doing something about it. I already deleted the app from my phone since I hate using it and to save space. On to a different company for me after some research into Garmin and Apple Watch.

This update is the worst 'up' date, how on earth is this meant to be better than the old version.

2 Key fundamentals I used on the old version:

Seeing my steps in one place and being able to scroll back since I have used fitbit. Clear and easy to see steps, by day, by week. I want to be able to easily compare what steps I have taken over a period of time, or for example I did 100,000 steps this week, when was the last time I hit that many steps. Not clicking on each week, to find this information, so time consuming. Also what if I want to compare steps from a Wednesday to Wednesday, or screenshot any of this information, it just doesn't work in the new format.  The daily average doesn't provide me any relevant information either.

Being able to see the percentage of battery left on the app.

Side note: The colour and design is poor.

I much PREFERED the old version. I have been a user of fitbit since 2017. I was already annoyed when they took away one of the key features of the challenges back in March and now this new update is just making me want to look elsewhere. Please fix!

They are directing people from Twitter to this thread. I have no idea if it's the same team or not.

I agree!  I wear my Fitbit on my ankle so I depend on the battery life display in the app!!

Your new design is not working and looks terrible 😣

My and my husbands steps have NOT been accounted for since you changed things. We get a few steps showing. Nothing else is being recorded at all. I’ve tried several attempts. Please tell me how to get my features working!!!!!!! I will be finding an alternative soon if you don’t get this fixed. Please be open to going back to the old format. It’s maddening. I’ve been using Fitbit for my health for years… it’s disturbing to say the least!! Where are your answers to folks who are pouring their hearts out to you? 🙏🏾

This new app is horrible. Everything looks the same so it is difficult to read. None of the information is easily accessible or intuitive. It's amazing how genuinely horrible you've made the app. Please for love of God do not update the desktop version to mimic this monstrosity. I can use that so I don't have use this app you've "made." When my Fitbit dies, I'm going to have second thoughts about getting another. I'll probably just go without a device or switch to a different company.

That’s funny, I wear mine on my ankle most of the time too! 😂

I wish apps in general would stop assuming they know what I want and just give me the options to make it work the way I need it to. Now my dashboard settings are pre-grouped based on how someone else thinks they should be. Before, I had the ability to put exactly what I want in the order I wanted regardless of what “type” of metric it was. Now I can either have my heart rate show up first or have it show up after all of the “exercise” metrics. Some people might like the groups but there should be a way to organize without them for those of us who don’t like it.

Also, the new colors are awful and they make everything so much harder to recognize. Everything blends together in a sea of muted colors. It doesn’t look modern, it looks boring and I don’t even want to open it anymore. You’ve ruined the usability of the interface.

I think I’m going to switch to apple, this new setup is ridiculous!

I agree - loss of functionality, no battery life displayed, lost my step streak, all the same boring color, slow to sync now.  When my fitbit dies, I see myself moving on to a different fitness tracker.
