Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I don't like the new dashboard. It's very plain/bright, shows less information and is less motivating. Can I get the old one back.

Is someone from Fitbit going to actually reply to these 56 pages of complaints about this terrible ‘update’ you’ve lumbered onto us? It’s obviously a huge mistake and no-one likes it. The old view enabled us to review our stats, organise them how we wanted and was a lot more pleasing and colourful visually.
PLEASE GIVE US OUR OLD APP BACK!!!

Can someone please officially respond?

The lack of contrast in the new look is really hard for my eyes to see and brain to comprehend. I really wish there was an option to default to a more eye friendly contrast version or the old version. I’m not talking about the features but the actual color scheme of the new app screen. Our hike group and my running group are all feeling the same way… the new look of the app is not good and we do not like it at all

Hate it!!! Bring back the former dashboard!

Is there any way to get the old version back on my phone?  I can find no way to manually add my workout anymore.  I also used to get a notification of how many days in a row I hit my 10,000 step target.  Those notifications no longer appear.  What is the point of introducing a new version that removes features?  If you can't even add your workouts to a fitness tracker, what is the point of having a fitness tracker.

I think the redesign in horrid. 😞 can't it be changed back and include the battery level.

The new app layout/format/aesthetic is horrible. It’s harder and less intuitive to use. Why does Fitbit suddenly hate color? Please change it back!

I despise the new dashboard look, as it seems does everyone else. Starting to look at Apple Watch after years of loving my Fitbit.

Agree with all comments re poor redesign of the app and want to add that it’s exceedingly difficult to get new steps to appear even though a message appears saying my Inspire 2 just synced.  The only way I can get the synced steps to show is to hit the back button to yesterday, wait for those steps to count up, then hit the forward button to today and watch the steps count down!  Worse yet, sometimes I have to do this at least twice before the new steps update - ack!   How about reverting to the old system that worked while working out the considerable bugs and simplistic display on this update?

Hiss, boo!! I don't like the new app at.all!!  Roll it back, redesign it to look and funtion more like the old one!

I can't seem to track exercise and it doesn't auto-recognize things consisently anymore. If I manually add in a walk, it gives me more steps, which is inaccurate since the steps have already been counted.

If things are not fixed I will for sure be looking at a Samsung watch even if I end up spending more money. It will be worth it -such a waste of $$ for the Fitbit premium app now!

First let me say I HATE the new update. It will not update my app. It just says it’s looking for my Charge 5. I don’t see a manual place anymore to make it sync. If I try to add a Charge 5 it tells me I already have one but yet it won’t update. If I look at my info it tells me it is searching for my charge 5… and yes, the charge 5 is open .

I have Premium and its not logging my walking correctly, it only logged it as half the time, very frustrating.

This has nothing to do with the app itself.  Could you please start your own thread so we can help you?

I can't see the charge level for my Inspire Fitbit.  The Face is flat out ugly.  Did they actually improve anything or just try to make the screen as ugly and less useable as possible.  The dashboard takes up almost the full screen.  My exercise level shows zero days of exercise when I exercise every day.   More and more google is getting me to look at the Apple Watch.  I've only owned fitbits for a decade now, but if they keep making things worse I'll move on.  This all started when google bought them out.

Hiya this is definitely to do with the app, it hasnt worked properly since the upgrade. Where can I start a new thread? Thanks

Makes me after 10 years want to switch to the Apple Watch, everyone else in my family has the watch, I'm the only fitbit user.  Try adding a sleep log, that's broke too.

That was Exactly what I was thinking. It’s actually HARDER to follow because it’s all the same! You just glaze over, graphics or text all blur into bland monochromatic monotony. It seems to be this trend right now to have a clean hip look. Have a light gray text cause they think it looks cool. Well it does, but you can’t read it!  I digress, the fact that one has all this giant black and whit text actually makes it more difficult to quickly sort out what’s happening on your Fitbit , and actually is frustrating and makes me angry. I guess I’ll have to stare at the pulsating dot thingy that’s supposed to center me. Very irritating. The app used to be the really fantastic thing about Fitbit, not any more

Where is the battery percentage on the new app? Why can't I delete options that I don't use? Visually this new app is much harder to see. What was Fitbit thinking?

I continue to use Fitbit Premium because 1) I love my Flex 2 and 2) my health insurance pays for the subscription.  Since there is no adequate replacement for my Flex 2 pebble, I will switch to another brand when my reserve Flex 2 expires.  That could be years; I have been using the current one since 2017.  The new app may inspire me to change sooner.  I was already dissatisfied with the move towards only wrist-worn watch-like devices as I love my watch collection.  Why would I want a large rectangle on my wrist when I could have jewelry instead?
