Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

Following the app update… the interface is awful and isn’t user friendly
Moderator edit: clarified subject.
And why remove the battery life??
Unfortunately there are so many good reviews on there from up to 5 years ago it's making little difference to the overall score and the sequence of reviews seems totally random so you can't pick out the bad ones easily
If you filter to most recent it's easy to see... there are so many bad ones now and the occasional good 5 star review obviously fake/ by fitbit employees. I've messaged the CEO on LinkedIn and put the link in the message to this thread. More often than not the senior leadership become removed from the detail and won't be aware of the scale of the problem until it's too late and customers have left.
Let us go back to the old app interface. This new one is disappointing. As a fitbit user of 10+years, this is the first time I've considered jumping ship to a more user friendly watch company. If it gets resolved soon, I won't, because I spent good money on my watch. But if it doesn't, I don't see the point is staying with an app/product that doesn't listen to the overwhelmingly negative response from its users about this update. At least give us the option of going back to the better and more user friendly design. Nobody wants an app that doesn't let you customize it to fit their needs. Now we're just forced to pick a focus and are getting stats shoved in our face that don't matter to us, causing us to have to scroll to find what we actually WANT to see since we can't choose them or organize them anymore. Horrendous idea from the design team. Please do something about it.
Can you give us his name and we an all message him too!
I was looking at upgrading my fitbit this year and so glad i didn't before they did the change, will be looking elsewhere for my new one
Totally agree. So much scrolling of a long list of items, none of which stand out well against all that white background. I've starting deleting just to make the list more manageable.
I couldn’t agree more. Now there isn’t the daily reward of seeing your step streak which was a huge motivator for me and I can’t tell where my battery level is at. I could almost live with the other annoying changes to the app, but both of these are a huge loss for me. I’m actually considering looking at Apple which I’ve avoided for the past 5 years.
This is a total disaster as a revised App. Obviously everyone who dislikes it is writing here to complain, very bitterly, about their personal HATES of the new App. Evenso, I haven't seen anyone attempting to try and buoy up the new App. How could they anyway. This new App is awful, boring, colourless, confusing. Wouldn't like to meet the designers of this App
I personally am shocked that no one is listening to their consumers. The new app is awful and people are letting you know. It appears this a way to push people to google but I believe this will back fire on Google. I for one have been using a Fitbit for 9 years and have loved the app and quite frankly been addicted to it. Now with how awful the new app is I will be shopping for an Apple Watch.
It's not helping me reach my goals. The info I need has been moved to other screens rather than customisable from my phone dashboard, and only allows me to have items (per topic) in the order IT wants. This is not how I had things set up to suit me and my lifestyle. And the health and wellness information is not of use to me. I find my info from other sources which are not generic tiny articles. Basically, it's gone down the one size fits all, bad infographic rabbit hole. Not helpful. Not happy.
