Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Is there anyway to use Version 3.90 even after having updated the app? The new version is missing certain features that I’d become pretty dependent on; like the battery level indicator and the “# calories left.”

Reply to the question of liking the new app. NO. It’s too big. It’s too much trouble to find my info. The battery level is missing. This design needs to be updated.

I agree. I totally dislike this app now. It is childish looking. I feel like I am either blind or am learning to read. Only one function per page. I want the old one back!!!!

You may think differently about Fitbit after you get the update!  I find the new iPhone app for my Sense 2 requires a lot of scrolling up and down a long list of oversized bars that are identical in appearance and awkwardly grouped – and no longer can be custom-sequenced. Fitbit’s excellent human factors design elements are versatility wiped out, rather than being appreciated. The Exercise choices now omit some things I was recording. And, the **ahem** upgrade installed automatically, without email warning or notifications. Google is making this product much less fun and desirable.

It's terrible! How do I roll it back? Otherwise it's time for me to move onto a different device

"Why the Google Pixel Watch app [Android only] is in dark mode by default and the new Fitbit app isn't, is a mystery."

clear indication Google didn't really talk to the Fitbit product team at all but working in each other silos, there is so much wrong or missing on this Google App attempt to copy the existing Fitbit App that for sure Fitbit learned the last decade in this business, it's just mind blowing how Google can produce and release such failure than they just bought the company who has the knowledge sitting next door

I have had two Fitbits, Charge 5 is my current one. Im not happy with this new APP. no green stars, no fireworks for motivation,no batt indicator. If this app is not upgraded then this is my last Fitbit. Our family is looking for a heart monitor for my mother. I have spent the last week saying to go with Fitbit over apple watch. Now ill start looking at the Garmin. Not a happy customer.

I am so disappointed in the new upgrade.  It is not fit for purpose. As many have said no battery level anymore got an email at 12.08 last night to say battery low I was asleep so information on my app today not accurate.  Fitbit is also not syncing automatically as previously plus the other issues outlined by customers.

customer service just says I’m sorry it’s not on the app but I would prefer if they said we are aware of the issues and problems and are endeavouring to fix the apps problems in a timely manner for our customers.

I would prefer if you gave us the old app back and fixed the problems on the new app. but if our battery is dead on our fit bit device the app serves no purpose whatsoever.  This isn’t progress and the reality is you will lose many loyal customers.

I hate to be one of those people but....I really hate the new Fitbit update. I loved using my app before, I used it all the time, I knew where everything was and how to customise it. And now, when I reluctantly open the app, I have no idea what I'm looking at. It is weirdly much harder to work out what I'm seeing, I was given options to customise but I just want it to be what it was before. I feel like I can't see anything now, I don't enjoy using the app any more, and it just makes me feel really sad. I just did a walking holiday, and instead of enjoying checking all my stats every day, I just avoided the app entirely. My boyfriend has offered me his old iPhone and I'm thinking of switching to that and getting an apple watch instead.

Do you have it posted as to how to get it back? I contacted Fitbit help and they couldn’t help at all, very frustrating.

I HATE that the new Fitbit app visually ‘retallies’ your stats every.single.time you scroll through dates. Pointless, distracting, and takes longer for you to read the info. I have to wait for the numbers to ‘add up’, again, to be able to read it. Like we’re back to 1996 or something. C’mon, really, what is the point of that?

Do Google developers actually read these forums? They should do a poll of existing users to see how we actually feel about the app.

I hate the new app, too. I had to call customer support to get it to synch
at all after but being able to solve the problem on my own. As of last
night, it did not register sleep but it is counting steps.

There's an old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" There was no
need, and certainly no improvement, in the "roll out" of the new app.

See the post I referenced above.  Info is there.  For Android which is what I have, so is what I looked for info on.

Do NOT like the new app!  Now have to scroll down to see my stairs.  Can't see the battery life unless I plug it in to charge it.  Big numbers make it look like it was designed for a grade schooler!  Not happy with these changes.  Was this even beta tested?????

Is anyone else less than impressed with the new interface?

I am finding the mostly white screens much more difficult to find what I want, and the AF tracker a lot slower to navigate around.

Why did they lise the more compact zoning?

This format is NOT an improvement. I want the old one back!
