Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
This is exactly what I wanted to say but didn't quite know how to put it into words. Thanks for requesting this change/update! I really hope Fitbit listens to you and implements this soon.
They are now flooding the iOS App Store with fake positive reviews. “I love it!” Who’s going to believe that with tons of highly negative comments here?

Too little too late for me. I have completely lost trust in Fitbit and Google and am actively seeking an alternative.

Too little, too late.
You mean at no time do you intend to make your customers happy. Thanks for the heads up. When someone tells you who they are, believe them.
Thank you so much for all the information!!! ♥️
Best AnswerI posted the Verge link yesterday. Here it is again for anyone who missed it...https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/17/23921279/fitbit-step-streak-app-battery-percentage
@WWA and @Podunk Google's post to the Fitbit blog is here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/The-Pulse-Fitbit-Community-Blog/Your-Feedback-Matters-Updates-coming...
Thank you! I just got so frustrated with the app, I decided to post. Has been great response. So far, 100% agree with me. Probably Google's bright idea to change the app of a product that was doing well for all these years. Obviously, Google didn't ask the customers if they would like changes. Big mistake and hopefully with this great response, they might listen and do something. Thanks for your response! Sara
I think that’s a good sign for those staying. But I made my decision to leave when they showed us that they weren’t putting in any customer research into their decisions. It revealed the essential Google-ness of their decision making, if you will.
The new app for iOS stinks beyond the putrid aroma of the pit in an outhouse! The old version displayed all my priority info at a glance, without having to scroll down to find it. This new user interface wastes visual space and my time. This new app does not supply the PERCENTAGE of battery charge. Full/medium/low does NOT cut it!
The old version updated information without me having to manually sync with the Charge 3 to get it. My wife's Charge 5 use, with the new app, has the same issue; so it is not the model of the Fitbit causing the problem. I will not be upgrading until this is fixed. If my Charge 3 dies before a change, it will not be replaced by another model of Fitbit. I will use my phone or buy a different tracker instead.
If an update cannot be made to fix this, give us the option to go back to the old visual display. It contains ALL the info I need or want!
In case you haven't seen the 16 Oct 2023 announcement, the Fitbit app will be updated to return features that were requested, including % battery. Rollout will likely be gradual. So you may want to keep checking to see if the update is available for you
