Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
Omg this app is awful now. How the hell do you change what’s at the top? I don’t want my focus on stress management and I tried moving it but it just stays at the top. The old design was much better and user friendly.
Touch the pencil near the top right corner and swipe sideways until you find an icon arrangement you like - IF you can find one you like, that is...
Indeed it does.
"...for a company to retroactively change a device’s features in the hope that customers upgrade is a horrible decision that leaves long-time users stranded, with no options except to upgrade and keep their data, or take their business elsewhere."
I suspect a lot of us have or will do just that.
I’m not sure about anyone else but the example screenshot given by Lizzy Fitbit above is nothing like the one I am now forced to endure. The font is HUGE!!! so much so that I can only see the centre circle with step count and the 3 smaller below. I have to scroll to see anything else such as sleep, activity etc. mine is totally devoid of colour whereas the example shown above at least has a hint of colour. I have never experienced an app update like it. You really are becoming a laughing stock- updating an app to making it LESS user friendly as well as visually boring !! I haven’t even got the patience to try to live with it! I will just move to another brand. I have also put off family members from buying a Fitbit on the strength of this new app!! If I were you I would go back to the original before I lost any more customers. I’m sure this is Technically possible!
I agree that this app SUCKS! But in response to Yorkshiregirl1, I do have the color shown on LizzyFitbit's screenshot. The purple and green on the Today page and when I go to the Coach or You icons on the bottom of the screen I get everything in color. But the app STILL STINKS! About 10 years and four Fitbits shot to hell. I have already put a G*****n in my letter to Santa! 😉
Yeah, they listen enough to delete the posts they don't like. They WANT us all to dump Fitbit cos they think it's going to make things better for their Pixel watch That's why they're giving a 6 month subscription of Fitbit Premium and a month of YouTube music when you buy a Pixel! (https://store.google.com/us/product/pixel_watch_2?utm_source=sem_bkws&utm_medium=dr&utm_campaign=GS1...)
They're TRYING to get rid of Fitbit altogether! And they're doing a great job!
My misery with this new app has come to an end , though my fb would probably last another couple of months , I had to take a proactive approach to stay active and keep diabetes at bay. I got a new tracker ***M** , going to start working out regularly. Loyalty to a brand is less important than a positive feeling while working out and taking care of one's health.
Google/Fitbit - thoroughly disappointed with this new fitbit app that was thrust on us unsuspecting (paying) customers, hope you take this feedback in the spirit with which I have shared it. Good luck to everyone in this forum , stay active.
Please please please bring back the old UI experience. The new seemingly endless scrolling, the wasted space around all the new icons, less information on the homepage, the awful customization. This may be the worst app update of any app I have ever experienced. It is a nightmare to use. Please allow us the option to revert back. Why mess with something so good?! To be honest this update makes me want to move to another fitness tracker it’s that bad
Yep. They are watching, just enough to maintain some kind of damage control (as they see it).
No productive input, just hiding customer dissent.
Google seems unconcerned by the unhappiness and dissatisfaction of Fitbit users, but don’t seem to realise the complete loss of trust in anything bearing the Google brand. Perhaps they think we can’t live without Google, but we can. We can.
