Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
Since the new app was released my runs are timed in whole minutes. Where are the settings to update to include seconds?
Best AnswerThis new app is the worst ever. Makes me not even want my Fitbit anymore. Exercise portion of the app is now useless and can’t even see my tracked runs as the map doesn’t load on the app if it wasn’t 100% connected to gps. Total garbage. Very disappointing.
This is without a doubt the worst thing you could have done to this app. Everything used to be so easy to navigate and all the information I needed was right there when I opened the app now it’s all hidden away in silly places. This UI is far too slick when it needs to be functional. Now it’s hardly usable. You’re going to loose loyal customers if you dont sort this out. I am also one of hundreds of people I have seen say the same thing. CHANGE IT BACK.
The heart rate graph under the heart rate tab is for five minute averages. I am glad it is retained by fitbit but is not useful for checking very short runs of tachycardia for rate and length like the manual log of exercise previously did.

Hi @Jojo1606 - this appears to be part of the simplification process of the new app so may be intentional. Each release seems to come with new issues.
You can see more information in "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!" topic in the appropriate iOS or Android app forums.

Best AnswerFitbit was great while it lasted. It’s basically gone. So, is anyone else going to step up with a slim line watch like product like the Luxe? That’s what I’m looking to replace. I wear my Luxe 24/7. Change the band to match the occasion. Have a tiny wrist. Haven’t worn a watch other than my Fitbit for years now. Still looking.
Google is trying to push its pixel watch, which only works with Android phones. When Fitbit was its own company, it had to develop for both. Also it started out as a step tracker with no screen so having a good app interface was critical. Now google wants to do “branding” with their ridiculous design (look at the colors in the pixel watch android app). If you were an iOS developer would you work at google? Of course not. I think they believe they can convert us to pixel. I’m not changing phones based on what my watch is.
It’s hard to believe Google isn’t noticing any of these comments. So, since they’re not listening, I suppose it’s now time to make the move over to a more complete Apple solution and buy an Apple Watch. At some point next quarter I’ll shift - not in the budget right now. If Google starts listening and responding, I’ll reconsider. If they don’t, then Apple, as much as I hate giving them money, will get my business because they make a far superior product.
And of course no sooner that I post this than I see I earned a 10 Year badge. How can these companies expect us to remain loyal to them when they don’t remain loyal to us?
Yep, got my ten year badge today as well! Also got an award for 25 replies to my Fitbit Community posts! LOL!😂 Do they realize they’re rewarding me for saying how they’ve screwed up the App and customer service
They didn't sell me to google watch looking at the new fitbit ui, reduced functionality and how it works.
