Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

Terrible upgrade, doesn’t provide maps or graphs and worse of all does not allow editing the exercise type, everything logs in as ‘sport’. Please can you consider either reverting to the old one or urgently repairing the issues in this version, thanks.

The Pixel watchers are nowhere near as good as the Fitbit Sense watches. If they kill off Fitbit, that will be a disaster to human technology.

This is my biggest annoyance! I liked max heart rate and average heart rate and cals burned per minute. Ridiculous the most popular quick stats have been removed
----
The new update is messy, over complicated and they have removed the most useful stats My Versa 4 exercise stats contain much less information now. I can’t see my heart rate breakdown/graph for my workout anymore, my average heart rate for that workout is now gone, and I can’t customize/classify the sport anymore, it just lists useless “sport” or “aerobic exercise” headings and it won’t let me edit/change them. I liked the old breakdown/features much better, they’ve now taken out most of the useful details including average calorie burn during exercise per minute and also maximum heart rate. Terrible update

This new UI is horrible. Where did the Settings menu go?
And I don't mean the "click on your name" or click on the "watch", then look at the sub-settings there.
I mean the ACTUAL settings menu, with the gearbox, that actually had ALL the settings. In one place. Like a settings menu does.
In particular, the "restart/reboot my device" setting, that I need to use now, because the new UI glitches out and throws my stats out of whack....requiring frequent resets....which are now impossible.
Because reset! used to be the Settings Menu. Which is now gone.
Like seriously. What kind of counter-intuitive nonsense is this?
Bring back a Settings Menu please. Really. Really. Basic stuff.

The heart rate data since the update is nearly pointless when compared to what I USED to get which is the second, more detailed graphic. I know there is some heart rate data over a 24 hour period but I really prefer seeing it within my workout so I can correlate it with the activity within that workout. Can I go back to the old software PLEASE!

The new version of the app sucks. Please revert back to the old version.

Hi everyone…
Does anyone have an update whether this has been fixed?
I have a Versa 3 and up until the new app install I was able to edit the standard name of an exercise session, but no longer…eg from Tennis to Raquetball? Is this going to be fixed?

@GaEquestrian , if you don’t want to switch to a brand with a decent data analysis (since Fitbit are showing zero appetite to go back to their former glory) you can send your data to Strava ( but they only take gps tracked activities) and get the heart rate analysis there. The free account gives you basics like heart rate, pace and elevation graphs over the course of the activity, and you can turn off the social aspect and keep it private if you want.

Hi everyone, is it just me or have they fixed the problem with the map not showing when complete an activity? I think the last couple of runs I have done, the map has popped up when I tap it from the front screen? Please sort out the colours so you can see the different zones as well!
Also I think my app is opening with today’s stats not yesterday’s now? Please get rid of the spinning numbers now too!
I really hope they are listening at last!

Yes, it was fixed in the last app update.

LizzyFitbit…no one is responding to any of these serious concerns and feedback. Can you tell the Fitbit forum if GOOGLE are listening? Thank you.

Sad part of this is I’ve seen it before in business. The biggest losers are the acquired company workers and engineers. Corporate already got their payout and parachutes.
Google will suck the profits off the brand until it dies because they “know better.” The agile and innovative will move to other jobs or get sucked into the Borg(Star Trek term…sorry).
it’s sad because this was a good brand. Now it’s nothing more than a profit and loss center. The corporate mules know exactly what I’m talking about.
I get businesses need to make money. My anger here is directed at the fact we spent money on a product with certain features that Google stole back from us and tried to resell behind a paywall. You stole my money. I won’t use your search engine or buy another product that you produce. If it sounds like I’m angry…it’s because I am.

Why is my weekly email summary not showing several days worth of data? Do you have to physically sync the watch and the phone app every night to make it show up?

Google does not care. And the point about putting features we used to have under a paywall is spot on.
I could forgive a product going downhill. I could even forgive the app for sucking because that they could fix all that. What I will never forgive is that Google doesn’t care about customers. It’s not just one or two lousy customer service reps. This comes from the top. Witness lack of any response to a bunch of longtime customers clearly unhappy with the changes.
Witness Google’s out and out greed. I will use my Fitbit Charge another year because it’s only a year old, not ready to be replaced yet. But going forward I certainly won’t buy a new Fitbit. Or any Google product. The problem isn’t the products, at this point, it’s the company.

I ditched Fitbit a few years ago and just two days went back to it as it was a cheaper replacement for my Apple Watch. I have had nothing but a nightmare getting it set up and the new dashboard is awful! It’s unusable. It’s not user friendly at all and nothing is easy to use. Major regrets with my purchase. No chat function has actually sorted out the problems I’m having. When I last had one it was easy to use, things were clear and straightforward. No online user manual have simple instructions. I’m so annoyed. I’m reasonably tech savvy so I’d hate to imagine someone who is not trying to set one up or use the app. There was nothing wrong with the app the way it was. Why can’t we have a choice between keeping it the same or changing. No thread here is actually helping me/

Why did Fitbit remove all the heart rate data from my exercise details! Also the number of steps completed during my exercise is also no longer available when viewing the exercise details in the new app. I really struggle to understand why Fitbit “fixed” something that was not broken!

I just wonder why the new app looks like it was designed by an eight year old.
bring back the original one!

It wasn’t, it was designed by an advanced six year old 😂

Hi @markjones7897 - your observations are similar to many who posted in "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!" topic in the appropriate iOS or Android app forums where you will see more fully the issues.
