Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
@pobox1663did you get this figured out yet? On my iPhone 14 Pro all you have to do is swipe left where it says "day" "week" "month" and then you will see "year".
Best AnswerThe new dashboard isn’t nearly as effective as the old dashboard.
There is no heart rate in real time
The Luxe has been worn every day but still has no resting heart rate.
When beginning a work out. I was able to just select workout on the wrist device then go into the dashboard later and edit it to the specific workout. This is no longer an option.
For the first few hours of the day it only shows yesterday’s stats.
If the dashboard remains inadequate I will drop the Premium Subscription

The new take-out export files on sleep do not include sleep duration and other sleep stages and awakenings.
It would also be great to have the Google Maps app on Fitbit Charge 4. The OS seems to be the same.
Can you please fix this?
Please bring back the old dashboard. This new interface is an absolute disaster! You can only view stats week by week when before you could easily scroll down to see stats easily from previous month and years. The main dashboard is just so cluttered, the graphs are not clear like before, the stats are not clear as before. I’ve been using fitbit for years and i’m very disappointed. I use the app far less often now as its such a hastle to work out what’s what.
PLEASE PLEASE listen to your customers and switch back to the old app or at least make it an option. it is much harder to read and use than the old one. I have loved Fitbit until this change will not continue to be a Fitbit user doesn’t improve. The colors are terrible. The screen layout is terrible. I don’t have the ability to see and track as many things on the Home Screen as before. We have had plenty of time to get used to it and it still just doesn’t work as well as the old one. Bring the old one back or redesign the new one or give people more options for customization of home screen metrics, font and colors, etc.
I could not agree more. Ever since the color change and how everything looks exactly the same my inspiration and desire to use the app has completely gone away. Now it’s a chore. When I first started using it two years ago I convinced a ton of people to pay for premium because using the app and all the features was so motivating. Since the app redesign all of my friends and partner have stopped using it. It’s all just one color and everything looks exactly the same. Makes it feel like a chore to fill out now where it used to be fun and exciting. In my opinion this redesign was the worst thing they could have done. I won’t be paying for premium next year. What a shame. They really ruined a great thing.
i totally agree with you! GOOGLE has sent Fitbit downhill. I don't have premium but I also have been a Fitbit user since 2017 and it now sucks!!! I had to download Stridekick to create challenges and make new friends. As soon as I find a new affordable watch, I will also be leaving Fitbit.
I have decided to definitely start looking for another watch, I have been with Fitbit for a long time. I’m on my 4th watch and I really like my sense but there is not much point if the accompanying app is not fit for purpose.
@klodloft this has been going on for months so it’s not like no one is contacting support. Many if not most people contact support first and end up on the forums when their problem is not solved. Problems with the Charge 5 firmware update fail started in August or earlier, and the new app upgrade fail started in September. Now it’s February 2024 and although they’ve been putting lipstick on the pig since then, the fundamental fact that the whole new app is a dysfunctional backwards step does not seem to be being addressed.
The latest update v4.10 removed the workaround method to rename a workout/activity. Previously we can rename an activity quite easily using the App. Few months back with the new redesigned app, this functionality was removed. Fortunately, someone smart found a workaround method to do that by editing the historical data. This method is no longer working, and now there is really no way to rename an activity, unless we do it via the Fitbit dashboard using a computer web browser.
See details here.
At the beginning of the new UI I was very skeptical about the Fitbit app. I am now used to it and of course the app can be improved even further. the app works fine for me now. The sense2 is currently the best smartwatch for monitoring your health. Also due to the long battery life compared to the Apple Watch. Because charging your smartwatch every day is not an option for me. I would just like to urge Fitbit/Google again to bring back the snoring and noise function in the Sence2. My confidence would then be fully back in the Fitbit.
