Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

STRONGLY DISLIKE THE NEW APP. I understand you went to Google but it’s lifeless and no more step streak and no color. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK

@Peeelay ...and no fireworks! 👎

Yes, but before you could mix up all the panels. I don't want just health or just mindfulness. I want to mix up the things that are important to me. Fitbit has lost the plot.

The step steak was my motivation to get my last steps at the end of the day if I was short.

It totally sucks that it has been removed. I was on a several year streak of at least 10,000 steps per day.

Way to kill motivation for something that is hard to work in to a busy life.

The upgrade is awful.

Question about the new app. I really used the cumulative running tally during the week of my steps. Now instead of our weekly steps total we get a daily average - NOT HELPFUL. Please bring back the running total by week and return showing prior weeks, as the app still does for active zone minutes (do not take that away too). Please let me know when this important functionality will be returned to the app. Average daily number of steps is a useless statistic.

Thank you for the information on customizing, I never found that
information before. It was not intuitive for this older adult. Hope the
update with battery life comes soon. That is a much needed feature your
design team forgot about. It would also be nice if we can change the color
and size of the app page. I dislike it basically screaming at me.

Thanks,

I absolutely hate it! Harder to navigate, not visually pleasing!  Where is the consecutive step streak tally? It was my favorite on the old app!!  I can’t imagine that ANYONE thinks this that this version is an upgrade, it’s awful!

Too much white space. Have to scroll screen to see what I used to. And what is the deal with monochrome display too many people color blind? Don’t like the new app. Appears like a whole new development team created an app. They must have been the cheapest.

Displaying battery level is a must.  Who designed this?  Fix this now please.

Yea you are the minority.
Wish they had a developer that actually used the product. Looks like my time with Fitbit (2015) is about to end, at least when my sense dies,  time to move on.

Agree completely! I don't know a single user that likes your new "downgrade." This app couldn't possibly have passed a focus group challenge. Haven't you ever heard the expression, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? I'm mystified that that you green-lit this act of sabotage. 🤬 (couldn't even keep the most obviously useful battery percentage??) HATE THIS COLORLESS DOWNGRADE!!

The new interface on the app is THE ABSOLUTE WORST!  You missed the mark, Fitbit!!!!   At least give us the ability to have the old interface back!   I normally embrace change, but I cannot get behind this one.

And I will not be renewing my premium subscription!

It does take a bit to understand how to make changes in the new app.

then why change it!

I am not upset or unhappy with the new app design.   What I wish you hadn’t taken away was the battery status and percentage of battery remaining.   I have a Fitbit Sense and the biggest problem with it is battery drain.  I was constantly checking the app for battery life remaining.  I know it’s available on the sense but that just uses up more battery.  Please add the battery status with percentage of battery life left back to the main app screen.

I read the article at Forbes and it said, "By 2025 Fitbit accounts are going to be discontinued, to be replaced by Google accounts."
