Best Answerafter you finally get it going you might want to leave all day sync OFF
Best AnswerMarco - Yes, I know the tracker pairs and syncs through the app... And yes, it's plugged in and turned on. (irony). Fortunately, as I wrote elsewhere, I have an iPod that has iOS 9.3.5 on it and I installed the app and paired the tracker with the iPod. It's inconvenient and doesn't allow me to access certain features, but at least I can use my tracker. So... that's my short term, albeit unsatisfactory solution.
My question is, does anyone at FitBit understand the existence and extent of the problem? And if so, what's being done about it?
Best AnswerThanks JonPierson for letting us know that someone at fitbit seems to be aware of this problem. It would be useful if they learned to communicate better. And best if they resolved the problem.
Best AnswerI’ve done all the forget, add new device etc. The sync only works once and not everything is synced. I’ve lot a a lot of data from the past two days. Ever since iOS 11 came out the app has not really worked.
Best AnswerWait! 49 minutes after sync started... suddenly connection. Weird. Glad it’s finally synced ... matter still needs attention as 49 minutes is unsatisfactory.
Best AnswerI don't know anything about developing apps for mobile phones, my experience is on IBM hardware. I do know that if IBM significantly changed its operating system, it most certainly informed users what it was doing and how to make sure their programs worked after an upgrade.
Which brings us to Apple. It seem to me that Apple released iOS 11 without doing a particularly good job of telling developers of applications what they were doing. I assume that Apple did not pre-release iOS 11 to developers so that developers could fully test their applications prior to the public release.
The point that I want to make is that it is not necessarily the fault of Fitbit, here. I imaging that they are trying to find a fix to to the problem, and fully test it, before releasing an upgrade.

Best AnswerYes LOL ! I hear you... Although it is "cracked" on my zip As long as I leave all day sync off it works with latest apple software,.. or at least the past 2 weeks vs blowing through a battery a day ( the zip uses watch batteries that supposed to last 6 months. I think they are no longer supporting the smaller devices, although they say they are working on it. I also think apple is not playing nice as they have their own health steps and moves. I guess time will tell.
Best AnswerNow mine is not working I even deleted and re uploaded the app,, I am getting ready to give up,
I think certain devices are not having problems,, So either go to a wrist one that does heart beat or just give up on the fit bit,,, FIT BIT ARE YOU LISTENING ????
we need to put more pressure on them
