Turn off call notifications

Does anyone know how to stop the phone calls? This is not a feature I want. I have a Charge and an iPhone 6s. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Welcome to Fitbit Community @ashvt! If you haven't activated the Call notifications feature, it won't be activated in your tracker nor phone. To Turn off notifications complete the following steps: On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap your tracker, and then on the device screen, tap your tracker. Tap Allow notifications access and turn off access to the Fitbit Notification Service.  Reboot your mobile device.

"On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap your tracker, and then on the device screen, tap your tracker."  On the dashboard, there is no tracker to tap.  This answer doesn't make sense.  I didn't set the notifications on, but they are on, and are a real nuisance.

@CONOVERFIT were you able to disable call notifications? In the main Dashboard where you can see all your data i.e. steps, distance, calories, etc... at the very top it's a image or your tracker with the name next to it.  If it's an iOS device, once you tap on it a menu will appear and you search for "Notifications> Call notifications, etc...> And tap to disable them. In an Android device you will see the same picture on the main screen of the Dashboard, you tap on it and will see the tracker again and "Shop Fitbit", you tap on the tracker again and search for General> Call notifications> And disable them. Once you have done that you shouldn't receive any notification on your tracker.

How do you turn off JUST the phone call and text notifications?  I have a pacemaker and these jangles interfere with it.  I turned off Notifications, which turned off all notifications, and now I don't feel like I'm getting the benefit of the Flex 2.

Hi there @RuthieSK, welcome aboard to our Community. To turn Off your Text and Call Notifications is very simple. Go to your App and go to your Account Tab > Tap on your Trackers tile and go to your Notifications settings > Here you can switch off the toggles to choose which Notifications you want to deactivate.

I have an iPhone 5 and I can't get my Flex 2 tracker stop vibrating every time I get a phone call.

I've followed the instruction in this post and have both Calls and Text Messages disabled (not green) in the Notifications section in the Fitbit app.  I also turned off the Fitbit notifications in my iPhone iOS settings as well but the tracker keeps vibrating with every call.

Any other ideas?

@JoeV41 In your case you mentioned you have a Fitbit One. These options of call and text notifications are only available for trackers that support this feature. If the tracker is not compatible with these functions, you wont be able to see the same options depicted on the previous screenshot. If you allow me I would like to invite you to look in to our product page: https://www.fitbit.com/home to learn more about our new Fitbit trackers that support call and text notifications, among other new features.

@Debbie_F certainly this is not an expected behavior if you have turn off this option, so my recommendation is to try the following:

Restart your tracker.
Review the notifications stay off.
Reboot your mobile device.
Unpair your tracker from your mobile device. You can unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.

The last step will disable the notifications but rest assure your tracker will remain syncing with your Fitbit app.

I don't want mobile text notifications on my Charge 2.  I have no clue where the Tracker can be found on the mobile app.  How do I do this?

Also, I've been traveling between time zones a lot, of late, and have noticed that my device doesn't automatically sync with current time immediately.  In fact, the delay has, in a number of instances, been several hours.  What's the solution to this?

Hello @cqlink, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! 

If you don't want to receive notifications on your Charge 2, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is listed. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. This will remove the link that allows the tracker to receive notifications without affecting its ability to sync. 

Now, in regards of the tracker not updating with the correct time zone, please make sure to sync your tracker once you land on another timezone, if that doesn't work, please restart your tracker and try to sync again.

I had the same problem with my Android phone. The solution for me was to turn the notification service on but turn all the notifications off. If I disabled the notification service then I always got notifications of phone calls. This is probably a bug in the App.

This is incorrect, at least in Oct 2019 for Inspire HR + iphone X... i just got it and never set up calls - but today i am getting all the freaking calls on the constantly vibrating Inspire... worst of all - when you go into settings, there is no clear simple way to turn that s..t off and even when googling you get this answer that is incorrect and then provides some unexpectedly difficult way ti turn phone vibration on the band off... why cant there just be another notification setting with on and off switch and the user has to jump thru some BS hoops to do this?

Turning off notifications is a joke. I still get texts. The ONLY way to prevent the Charge 3 from sending texts to the Fitbit is to turn off the bluetooth on my phone. It is worth it though. No more interruptions!

On my Android 9.06 phone (OnePlus 3T) the following works: (1) Look in the app drawer and find "Settings"  (2) Click on Settings and select "Apps and notifications". (3) Click on "See All Apps". (4) Scroll down to "Fitbit" and click on it. (5) Click on "Notifications" on the Fitbit App page. (6) Scroll to "Incoming Call" and uncheck it. (7) check or uncheck any other notifications that you want to receive or block.
