Today if I click on the search bar to find a food it only allows me to create a custom food - no search results appear no matter what I type. This is the case before and after updating. I also deleted and reinstalled the app.

Same here, still not working. I rely on this feature heavily to help manage chronic health conditions through nutrition. If I do not know how much calcium, iron, sodium, and protein I have consumed, I am flying blind. If this is not remedied soon, I will be looking at different health trackers. Maybe it is time for me to buy an Apple Watch, since Google has acquired Fitbit, it has gotten less useful rather than more. Very disappointing.
Can someone recommend an alternative app for tracking nutritional intake? I am an iPhone user.
Came here to see if anyone else was having this issue. I guess they are too. The good news is that I can still enter my most frequent foods and my most recent foods fairly easily, so as long as I stick to those ones, it's not a big deal. The bad news is that two of my recent foods are chicken wings and lemon tarts and I fear that ease of entry will entice me to eat those things again.
Then why are they making new Fitbits? They're also working on a new Fitbit app, and I reckon they're focused on that completely and can't be bothered to maintain the old one properly.
Oh well, you can blame Fitbit for it if you do!
Best AnswerSame. Food database has N/A as the only option. Search does nothing. Barcode scanning says fitbit website is down. Creating a custom food seems to work, except the save button. Super frustrating, as this is the main feature i use.
I tried everything- rebooted my phone, reinstalled the app. Nothing helps. And support didnt call me back.
Best AnswerIt seems that way, but I don't get why- the Google watches use Fitbit?
Best Answer😂😂 needs must John!
Best AnswerI did a little research on this today and just downloaded Cronometer. (I am also a iPhone user). Their nutritional reporting is very detailed and their database is reportedly very accurate. The app does have a barcode scanner in addition to a searchable database. Would prefer to continue using the Fitbit app to reach my goals as I like having everything in one place, but I’m going to give Cronometer a try and see how it goes. You can sync your Fitbit with Cronometer but for now, I plan to keep them separate. Hope that helps!
Best AnswerYeah I have My Fitness Pal from last time Fitbit screwed up the nutrition section badly. Good point.
Best AnswerI have found My Fitness Pal is pretty good. Am contemplating going back to it for a while. I, like you, prefer everything in one place, but I also prefer things to work.
Best AnswerSame for me. Is this related to the google merger? I have most updated version on my iPhone iOS 18.2
help! Just got a new Luxe and this is pissing me off!
