Since the update, I am unable to edit my exercise on my Inspire 3. It is a little frustrating. Any suggestions?
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
But its only "by design" now, after the update? I was able to edit it before. I sometimes forget to end my walk or my workout and don't realize if for quite awhile.
Yes, it's only like this after the latest update. It's actually not as bad as it first appears though. You can't set shortcuts now but it does remember the last used exercises and pin them to the top of the list once they have been used. So after doing your regular exercises at least once, the list should look something like it would of with your old shortcuts.
If you find the walk exercise and then scroll down, there is an auto-stop option you can enable, so it will turn it off for you if you forget.
Since we are talking about an issue with the phone app, this thread is on the wrong board.
Is the issue with ios or Android, or common with both phones. There is no mention above about the type of phone
It is not limited with the Inspire 3

With the iOS app, when I mowed the lawn I would start a "walk" and when I got done, I could change walk to "mowing lawn" which was one of the choices. Now there are 40 exercise types but I can't edit whichever one I start. If I don't start a walk when I mow the lawn, it interprets the activity as "bike" and it doesn't count my steps for the exercise (although the total step count increases appropriately.) It makes one wonder if the design team consulted any actual Fitbit users before they made all these changes.
Totally agree - this is a really bad change.
Others and myself have been discussing it here as well: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-3/Exercise-shortcuts-not-synced-to-the-app/m-p/5651387#M1002...
For some stupid reason my Inspire 3 has started not only tracking my walks but also srtarting the walking app. Today I forgot to stop the exercise so it continued for an extra 10 minutes as I transitioned form walking to hanging out the washing. I had hope to change the end of the exercise using the iOS app ….. but it lets me adjust the time, save the change, and then leave it exactly the same as it was prior to editing it. What exactly are they doing at GoogleFit? I also tried to change it using the Android app but got the same result and I have found there that you can pretend to change the activity type but again even when you tap save it does not save the changes.
If they're not going to allow edits (I have a Sense2, iOS app v4.24) then they should just remove the pencil to Edit Exercise Details from the screen. This is just another downgrade following the loss of the web dashboard. Sleep editing is probably next.
Same here. I have tried everything to fix it and still the same thing. It will not keep the changes I make to the time or the exercise once I click DONE. If I add a new exercise, it will override the original exercise but it gives me a set calorie count no matter how long I exercised instead of what I actually burned. I am so frustrated, I'm ready to get rid of the Fitbit.
Best AnswerAll - to add insult to injury, I created a helpdesk ticket - and the "senior" customer support team writes: "please be informed that we're not receiving any updates or even reports regarding the missing Exercise shortcut for the Inspire 3."
I've even provided the link to this thread and they still say that!! They just don't get it. All, please submit helpdesk tickets and reference that you are experiencing the same issue JUST like my case # 6-3701000036872
It just boggles the mind.
