OK, after months of frustration and following the listed process, finally figured out what wa preventing messages and call notifications from appearing on my fitbit 3 screen............drum-roll please...........................in the "Settings" section of the iphone, go to scroll down to "Messages. Ensure that the "show preview" setting is set to "always" or "when unlocked". This setting not only applies to if message previews appear on the actual phone screen, but also controls whether or not a notification/preview will be sent to your fitbit device. Woo whooo! Problem solved. Best of luck all.

It took me a minute to figure it out, but when I realized the step you missed Settings>Notifications>Messages>Show Previews then check Always. Thank you for the information glad to have the text messages showing up on my Charge 3 again.

So ever since this fix, no more sleep scores 😞 Hours are tracked but no tracking of sleep stages etc... Any suggestions other than the ones that Fitbit posts here every time and which don't fix my particular issue? Thanks

Have spent half of yesterday trying everything, only thing I haven't done is start from scratch, and that's because I don't know how to...I've cleared data and rebooted my watch but cannot get back to an empty screen. BTW..,it took over 2 hours for the firmware to be updated in spite of the message saying 30 mins or thereabouts!
Any help greatly appreciated, please and thanks!

I've done every troubleshooting step, multiple times, no fix. Beyond frustrating.
Bought this Charge 3 yesterday, and I'm taking it back today.

For anyone with an Android running OS 10 updated within the past year who has tried every hack suggested on here, I finally found the solution!!
I went into my permissions and lo and behold, Fitbit was being denied access to everything that had to do with notifications!!
I'm using a Moto g7 running the lastest version available to me of android 10.

I'm having the same issues - I did the last update to my iphone and I can no longer get notifications (vibrations) on my Charge 3. I've done everything I've found on the fitbit site to reset my connections. It appears my notifications are showing up but my watch is not vibrating at all. I'm at a loss at what to do at this point.

Fitbit is staying strangely quiet. They must know what the problem is, and cant fix it.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @paulkuryla @cmc15.
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing the same issue with notifications. I appreciate your efforts and the additional details and recommend confirming that you don't have "Do not disturb" or "Sleep Mode” turned on: press and hold the button on your device. Tap a setting to turn it off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device's screen?
You can find the complete troubleshooting instructions at How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.
