Unable to receive Notifications on Alta HR.

I just purchased the Alta hr a week ago. I am not getting notifications of calls or texts. I have checked all settings, turned phone off/on, reset Alta, turned blue tooth off/on. I have never received them since purchasing. I am able to get calendar alerts as I set one to double check. Please advise.

I have an 8 plus, and a versa Fitbit, same problem. Curious why this is happening. I can’t sync to gps either.

@Marina067, thanks for reporting this situation to me and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment I would like to ask you to reset Notifications on your Alta HR through the Fitbit app:

 

- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on tracker. Then tap on Forget this Device. 

- Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app. 

- Open the app again and tap on Account > Your Tracker > Notifications. You will receive the following Pop-up:

- Then, once you tap on Set Up, the app will begin setting up your tracker with the Bluetooth on your phone, which will prompt the next pop-up:

- Tap Pair

- Once you get back to the tracker options, tap on Notifications an enable the ones you'd like to receive. 

 

Additionally, (even if you have done it yet) please go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and Settings > Notifications > Messages and check that the following is enabled:

 

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show on Lock Screen
  • Show in History
