@Kasie13, thanks for bringing this to my attention and for letting me know you have already tried some troubleshooting steps. I understand you're able to receive call notifications but not text ones. In this case I would like to ask you to go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and Settings > Notifications > Messages and make sure the following is enabled:
If these settings are already enabled, disable them, restart your phone and enable them back.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi @daleena
You have to turn off the notifications and remove the Fitbit from your 6S
Then add it to your 8S

Hello @daleena, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to see new faces around. It's always a pleasure seeing you around @ACG.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Which tracker are you currently using? Have you tried to restart it yet? If so, I would like to suggest you to reset Notifications from the Fitbit app following these steps:
- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on your tracker. Then tap on Forget this Device.
- Force-close the Fitbit app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app.
- Open the app again and tap on Account > Your Tracker > Notifications. You will receive the following Pop-up:
- Then, once you tap on Set Up, the app will begin setting up your tracker with the Bluetooth on your phone, which will prompt the next pop-up:
- Tap Pair
- Once you get back to the tracker Options, tap on Notifications an enable the ones you'd like to receive.
Please remember that some trackers have a Do Not Disturb mode that might prevent them from receive Notifications:
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

I un-linked and deleted the Alta from my iPhone 6, then I deleted the fitbit App. Then I set it up on my new phone. I have deleted everything fitbit related off my phone twice, I just ran through the forget this device and re-paired it. I am now getting call notifications but not text messages. All my notifications are on in both the fitbit app as well as in the settings of the phone.

Great to hear your making progress.
Why don’t you restart your Alta now and see if notifications work.
