Unable to receive text Notifications on my device.

I have same problem with my iPhone. Fitbit was replaced and new one worked with text for a short while now it says it can’t pair the replacement either.  Steps etc ok.

Waste of money.  Call/text notification was my main reason for getting one!  Will not be buying  another.

Hello @Caroleyjones. I have moved your iOS question out of an Android thread, you might want to press the 3 dots to the right of your post and edit the title.

Have you checked the phones notification center for Fitbit authorization. As an Android user, this is the one step many iOS users have said they missed.

Have you checked the links to the help docs yet?

How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Hello @Caroleyjones thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @Rich_Laue, thanks for all your help.

@Caroleyjones I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Additionally to the steps provided by @Rich_Laue, I would like to suggest you to go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Messages and make sure than under "Sounds" you have selected any option other than "None"

Give this a try and let us know how it goes. Have a great day.

I never thought about that @MarcoGFitbit but yes if I select none or turn the volume off, the phone goes in its DND mode.

I have an iPhone 5s. When I got my first charge 2 the call notifications worked on my fitbit. Then they stopped. I did all the suggestions given to me then and had to have the fitbit replaced. The second charge 2 also worked at first with call notifications. Yet again it now does not. Once again I have deleted it, reinstalled it, checked notifications are allowed etc etc. It keeps trying but says unsuccessful. All the steps, workouts, sleeps get transferred, but not any call notifications. Ive even waited to reinstall it until my husband is out and his own fitbit not around and ipad turned off so there is no other devise nearby.

This is most annoying as I do voluntary work for the ambulance service as a cfr cooordinator and like to be a able to assist fellow team members even when I am not on the rota to work, as I may be needed to assist with cardiac arrests. I am an unpaid volunteer who lives on my pension and am not prepared to buy yet another type of watch which may be more reliable.

There is obviously a fault with these charge 2 fitbits. 🙁

You say it keeps trying, but never explained what step is being tried.

You say that notifications are enabled on the Charge 2? Do you have the notification menu item enabled. Or checked by holding in the button.
