Unable to see the Community tab in app.

Help!  I am use my FitBit all the time, however the Community button doesn't show up on my dashboard in the FitBit app for my iPhone.  How can I fix this?  Thanks!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Please note that the Community is only available in the US for the moment, if you have set up your country to other one, that's the reason the Community tab is not showing up. To verify this, please go to the Fitbit app > Account > Advanced Settings > Country. 

 

If your country has been set up to United States, change it to another once, force-quit the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swipe up the app. Open it again and change the country back to United States.

Hi @MarcoGFitbit - Thanks for your suggestion.  I tried it and it didn't work.  I am still unable to see the Community tab in the FitBit app.  Do you have any other suggestions?  Thanks!

At this moment I would like to gather some information from you so I can check this further:

 

  • iPhone model you're currently using.
  • OS version your phone is running.
  • App version currently installed in your phone (go to Account > Help to get it)

At this moment I would like to suggest you to try to change back your country on Account > Advanced Settings > Country to United States manually. Then, go back to the Dashboard and force-quit the app by double tapping the home button on your phone, then swipe up the app. After that, open the app again and the Community tab will show up at the bottom of the screen.

Hello @MarcoGFitbit - I tried your suggestion several times and it didn't work again.  I would like to be able to access the Community through the FitBit app on my iPhone.  What else can I do?

I currently use the FitBit application on a iPhone 6, however I cannot see the Community tab in app. 

 

FitBit keeps suggesting the following solution:

 

"I would like to suggest you to try to change back your country on Account > Advanced Settings > Country to United States manually. Then, go back to the Dashboard and force-quit the app by double tapping the home button on your phone, then swipe up the app. After that, open the app again and the Community tab will show up at the bottom of the screen.

 

I have tried this multiple times and it doesn't work.  FitBit hasn't suggested any other solutions.  I have tried through the forum and contacting them through instant messaging.  Are there any other solutions?  Please HELP!  I would really like to use the Community feature in the application.

I appreciate you have already tried the troubleshooting steps I have provided earlier. At this moment I would like to ask you to update the Fitbit app if you haven't already, then try the following steps:

 

  1. Go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Advanced Settings > Country
  2. Make sure Automatic is disabled.
  3. Choose a random country other than the US.
  4. Go back until you reach the Dashboard.
  5. Force-quit the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swipe up the app.
  6. Open the app again, then tap on Account > Advanced Settings > Country
  7. Make sure Automatic is still disabled.
  8. Select "United States" manually and go back to the Dashboard once again.
  9. Force-quit the app one more time.
  10. Open the app again.
