Update 6/26/2018: Hi Everyone, I've merged a few threads together. Thanks for your iOS notification reports.
Based on customer feedback, we stopped showing notifications in the Notification Center. You can continue to receive these notifications as push notifications by turning on Push Notifications in the app under Account > Notifications. Additionally, ensure that Notifications is selected in your iPhone settings.

@KateFitbit thanks for staying on top of this. While I prefer the in-app notifications, now I see that push notifications SHOULD provide that functionality. But, as @Rose_M , @Motherlove and others have stated, that does not work for some of us. A lot of the confusion could have been avoided if fitbit had bothered to notify the users in advance of the change. I just hope this gets resolved faster rhan the infamous “10,281 steps” issue 😊. I still love my fitbit!

Would this apply to the challenges notifications, too? I signed up for my first one and was all excited. I didn’t even get a notification that I had completed it and it mentioned something about treasures that I should’ve picked up along the way that I had no idea about because I never received notifications. There really shouldn’t be the option to turn push notifications on and off if they’re not even working.

Hi everyone! Good to see you around!
If you guys are still having problems with this, make sure you've checked @KateFitbit post here. Keep in mind that this is for receiving the in-app notifications but as we've mentioned before, some of you might still be having issues receiving notifications as a known problem that our team is working to get resolved as soon as possible!
Thank you all for your patience with this!

Nope. Still not working. Already had push notifications on anyhow. Now what?? This has to do w the last iOS update. Does Fitbit need to update their app?

Hi @emgreen236
Cust Support said that in the beginning but it was never about iOS. Fitbit has intentionally done away with the in app notifications they just failed to let their reps know.
Or us.
Why push notifications aren’t working is anyone’s guess - seems easier to reinstate what already worked. 🤷🏻:female_sign:

Hi @Motherlove @Rose_M @emgreen236, thanks a lot for your feedback about this.
As mentioned before, we're aware that for some users, enabling the notifications within the app is still not working but we're aware of this and our team is working to get it resolved as soon as possible.
Thanks a lot in advance for your patience with this matter and if you need anything else, I'm here to help!

I did as instructed and don’t see “push notifications” listed anywhere. There are other types of notifications listed and all are checked. My Alta HR stopped notifications after June 17.

Hi!
the push notifications settings are the iOS settings that allow Fitbit to send the ones you have checked in app.
Be sure under Settings->Notifications in your iOS settings, that you have Fitbit selected.
That said, for many/most of us here- we are still not receiving the notifications despite having this on.
Good luck!

@KateFitbit And @FerdinandFitbit - I just wanted to let you know that the push notifications started working for me today. I may even end up liking them better than in-app notifications 😉. Thanks for the help.

I haven’t received any notifications in my Fitbit notifications screen in the app since 6/17/18 but I see them pop up on my screen and then disappear. I have checked my push notification settings in Fitbit and in my iPhone settings and they are both set to on. Am I reading correctly that customer feedback was for notifications to stop? I like seeing them.

@chapstickh If you want the push notifications to stay until you clear them, go to your iphone settings (not the app settings) and tap Notifications-Fitbit. Make sure that notificationa are turned on and “show as banners” is selected. Then tap “persistantl. They will then show up and stay until you clear them.
