I will be getting a fitbit on friday but in the meantime im using the app on my iphone and its not counting my steps what do i do

A warm welcome to our new friend @Kkrebs! Hope you're doing great! Robot HappyCongrats for the new tracker you'll be receiving. I'd like to know if your Internet connection is working properly since your data will not sync if you don't have Internet connection.
