Versa 2 won't pair with iPhone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I have an iPhone 6s, as does my wife.  We bought two of the Versa 2 devices and hers paired just fine. Mine didn't.  Both running iOS 13.3.  Spent one hour with Fitbit help personnel running through algorithms to no avail with decision to return device for another one.  Having now done this, this 'new' one too failed to pair to my iphone. So we tried to pair it to a different iPhone - worked fine.  So implies problem is with my phone.  After having done again all restarts, reboots of my phone, Fitbit, reloading Fitbit app, et, etc, then deleted all bluetooth devices on my phone and started over.  My other Bluetooth apps re-paired with my iPhone no problem. Fitbit not so fit - won't pair. What is the cause of this idiosyncratic relationship between my iPhone and the Versa 2?

Hi @Falcondoc. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for taking the time to explain the issues that you've experienced with your Versa 2, as well for contacting our Support team. It seems odd that the set up process doesn't work just with your iPhone, despite the troubleshooting steps that you've tried. To further investigate, could you please confirm if you turned off other Bluetooth connections that were nearby? Also, did you take your wife's Versa 2 to another room during the set up process? Did your receive an error message on the Fitbit app? If you did, what was the message?

In the meantime, I'd recommend to try setting up your Versa 2 using your wife's phone, as once it's linked in your account, you can go ahead and sync it with your iPhone.

First, please try the following steps in your wife's iPhone:

  1. Take her watch to another room.
  2. Remove her Versa 2 from the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Log out from her account.
  4. Create or log in to your account.
  5. Set up your watch and wait until the process is completed.
  6. Log out from your account and remove your watch from the Bluetooth settings.

Then try the following on your iPhone:

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth settings in your iPhone.
  2. Remove any device from the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and log in to your account.
  4. Tap on your profile picture > Versa 2 > Sync Now.
  5. You'll be prompted to pair it via Bluetooth, please do so.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

I'm having the same problem.

Just got a brand new Versa2. I cannot get it to connect to my iphone SE.

I've tried all the steps suggested - restarting both the phone and the Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, disconnecting everything else from the bluetooth on my phone. Turning the bluetooth off and on. Nothing is working. I've been trying for an hour and a half now to get the **ahem** thing to connect. Help!

Oh yeah, me too. I just gave up after a while and have given up on the brand altogether. No support given to this issue and the product seems designed to become impossible to charge after a while. I’m **ahem**ed if they’re getting any more of my money.
