Versa 2 won’t receive iMessages

Everything else is working. I get Facebook messenger, Snapchat and instagram notifications. But I do not get text messages or iMessages.

I’m sorry your not receiving your notifications at this time. Currently notifications are an issue being addressed by the Fitbit Team. Please view this thread here for more information: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...

Pay special attention to page one of that thread and follow all the steps very carefully. If you’re still experiencing issues after carefully performing the steps provided then please keep an eye on that thread.

How did you get text message notifications to work? I am having a very hard time and have done all the steps on here.

I have done all the steps numerous times. Any idea of when this issue will be resolved? I am debating returning it and purchasing an Apple Watch instead.

Honestly I have no timeframe I can offer you. I wish I had a better answer for you but I simply do not. I do have one question for you....I have seen that having the “All Day Sync” feature enabled has helped some individuals. Here’s how: 

open your Fitbit App

tap your profile picture on upper left corner 

now scroll down and tap your Fitbit type (example: Versa, Alta) It’s located just under “My Family”

now scroll down and see if “All Day Sync” is enabled in green (if not enable it)

now tap the word “Today” at the bottom of your screen to return to the main page 

now sync your device to activate your choice

do a test text to see if this helps

I have a Versa 2 and iPhone 11 Pro with latest iOS 13.4.1

 

I was getting calendar and phone call notifications but not Text Messages/iMessages.

The issue for me is that I have the text message previews turned off on my lock screen. It's a security feature from Apple, if someone picks up my phone they cannot view my messages unless my phone is unlocked so that's why messages don't come through on a 3rd party device. 

 

To resolve:

Go to Settings -> Notifications -> scroll down to "Messages" 

Tap on "Show Previews" then tap on "Always (Default)"

That's it. You shouldn't have to restart anything. Once I changed this I got text messages and iMessage popping in.
