I have had my new Fitbit Versa for almost a month. I have had problems with it dropping Bluetooth connection since day one. I had a Blaze previously and i never had this issue. It’s very frustrating and I have tried resetting and restarting it. Any suggestions before I return it?

One more thing. I tried to re-pair my Versa with my Android phone. The phone reports "Couldn't pair with Versa. Check you Versa settings and try again." Just what settings do they mean?

Best AnswerIt is confirmed. I need to keep the Fitbit app open and never swipe out of it on my phone. If I do then I lose connection with my Versa 2. My phone is a Moto G7 (Android). I do accidentally click out/swipe out of the app on my phone. Each time I do I need to turn my Versa2 off and on again and try a few times in the app to sync again.
Same with me. Very frustrating. The app will eventually work even though the phone won't pair with the Versa. Go figure.

Best AnswerI have had a number of fitbits - including the Blaze - and the Versa orig and Versa 2 were the devices that I had constant connection issues. I did all the steps. Turned off phone, turned off watch, disconnect, get rid of bluetooth, completely reboot watch, everything. I got the Versa 2 for Christmas - and now remember why I didn't like the original Versa. Would disconnect on a daily basis. I went back to using my Inspire - which is fine! Seems to somehow be related to needing to be connected to WIFI in order to initiate. The other devices don't require this. There seems to be something in this step that eventually causes problems. Hope you have luck in using it.

Best AnswerAfter quite a few connection issues I am beginning to think this is all related to the fitbit application losing its Wifi connection details. So the first step would be to see what details are there and correct that before trying other things - as long as you are using the latest version of firmware, if not upgrade this first. Without the wifi connection there would be no need for the watch to communicate......
Best AnswerNone of these things have worked for more than an hour or two. I’m very disappointed in the last update everything worked fine until then. I for one am going to ditch the versa and buy an apple watch. Spoke to many people who think it’s ridiculous that I have this connection problems.
Best AnswerI have the same problem, the Bluetooth connection drops multiple times a day. I've done what is suggested here, (shutting down the phone and fitbit) but to have to do that several times a day is ridiculous! I really want to keep this watch, but if I don't get a resolution quickly, then the frustration is not worth it, it will be going back to amazon!!!
Best AnswerMe to! Received Versa 2 as a gift but it continually drops bluetooth connections! Have iphone 11 with latest ios. Have removed fitbit from bluetooth settings and rebooted phone- have versa2 adjacent to my iphone and the iphone cannot see the fitbit. Just this weekend rebooted fitbit to have it "see" my earbuds, as it would not detect them without rebooting. Now continually get the "pair with your phone" message, but phone cannot see the versa 2.
Is there any concrete resolution to this issue?
Best Answerfitbit versa lite is trash
Best AnswerWorst product ever support is the same old same old and the junk loses sync and then can't find the device YUK
Best AnswerYou need to look at any Bluetooth device such as headphones in the vicinity of Fitbit as this confuses it no end. Only pair a Versa without any other device in range then it might be a bit more stable.
Wonkychops
Best AnswerYour tracker dies not have to be connected, or tv n a trusted device to sync.
To receive notifications or use the connected GPS then the tracker needs to be listed as a trusted device under the GPS
Mine never shows as connected, yet have no issues with syncing and notifications.
I have used Blaze and Versa over the past few years. These watches are not reliable and I wish I didn't get to like them. I have had 3 watches all that loose the Blue Tooth function. The watch stops transmitting the radio signal (Bluetooth) or may be its the reception of the radio wave. I'm an electrical engineer with a fair amount experience with Versa. One way or another Fitbit has a major problem with their watches. The service technical help while trying to assist you, basically is a drone reading from a script. Once there done with their script, they put you on hold and come back after a few minutes to tell you they need to send a new watch. 6 months this one lasted. Once the warranty runs out and the watch has the same issue, I won't be coming back. Unless Fitbit wants to be HONEST about this technical problem, there's no reason to waste my money on a defective product.
