I have had my new Fitbit Versa for almost a month. I have had problems with it dropping Bluetooth connection since day one. I had a Blaze previously and i never had this issue. It’s very frustrating and I have tried resetting and restarting it. Any suggestions before I return it?

This might be a long shot, but have you tried it?

My second Samsung tablet had a firmware update. I followed directions and
at that time, had to connect the table to the computer for the updates. I
followed directions when the "update" finished but the tablet got stuck in
a loop. We couldn't do a thing with it. Even though it was out of
warranty, we took it back to a local Best Buy and they looked at it. They
couldn't get it to boot far enough to even install software again. At
least they tried but, ultimately, I purchased a new tablet. Maybe you'll
have luck doing a forced restart...fingers crossed.

I agree. I’ve had my Versa 2 for only 1 month & Im continuously losing Bluetooth connection. Very difficult to get connection reestablished!

You need to keep the Fitbit app open continuously unfortunately.  Also when connection is lost you need to turn off Bluetooth, turn back on and then refresh.

They must have done another firmware update last night.  My Versa Lite is not connecting to my phone and it is 1 hour behind.  I have tried shutting it off.  I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it still can't find it.  My phone won't can't even find it thru pairing.  This is the second time this has happened.  The last they had me send it in and sent me a new one.  That was in April.  I got the new one and everything has been great until last night. my battery was low and I put it on the charger.  When I got up this morning the time was behind 1 hour and it won't connect to my phone.  The version of firmware on my Versa Lite is 38.70.8.0.   This is exactly what happened to the last one.  I am getting very frustrated with Fitbit. This is my 4th fitbit device and everytime I have upgraded, but seriously considering switching to another devise.  Not happy right now.

Question:
How many other Bluetooth devices do you have? I suspect that the
connection sometimes gets very confused with others that are in range.

I do those steps everyday and still every time I move locations I have to go to settings, forget the device and reestablish setting up my Versa 2.  I am ready to send it back unless there is another way to keep bluetooth from dropping the connection. Any helps is welcome!

Mine had a firmware update several weeks ago and was ok after that. But
then it started doing crazy things...like the screen intermittently
scrolling and no way to stop it. After a week or two of that, it died.
Totally died. My husband had a Versa and he never cared much for it so
gave me his. I have not had one single issue with his and have now been
wearing it a couple of months. Weird how these things have been. When I
upgrade again I'm going with a Samsung watch to coordinate with my phone &
tablet.

Sounds like a plan to me.My Ionic that I had replaced the second time
didn't last 2 months. They replaced it under warranty once on this watch.
I'm so pissed I didn't ask for another warranty replacement. I took it off
my wrist and through it in my desk drawer.

I'll look at the Samnsung. Thanks for the feedback😊

Fitbit says the reason they get 4+ days rather than the 1 day the AW gets is because Fitbit turns it's Bluetooth connection off and puts it in listening mode. It only turns on for the second or two needed.

Did things ever get better?  I had a similar problem...very frustrating.  I responded earlier today but I'm not seeing my post...I'm new so maybe I just dont know my way around yet....anyway here is the basic gist:

Is your Versa 2 coming up at the top of the Bluetooth device list on your phone?  For me, it would be there after doing all the steps and then later in the day I would find it at the bottom in alphabetical order and that's when it stopped working.  By hitting the "settings" icon in the Versa 2 Bluetooth line, I was able to change the Versa 2 name to 0Versa 2.  After that my Versa 2 has stayed at the top of the Bluetooth list and all has worked as it should.  Hope it works for you!

Your post came through to my email so I'm guessing it posted. Being a
newbie can be challenging so I understand where you're coming from.

That's very interesting about putting the Versa at the top of the list. I
have the Versa, not the Versa 2. Ever since mine died and I've been using
my husbands, I have had no issues. Makes me suspect it was a device issue
all along. When this one dies or I decide to replace it, I'm going with a
different brand. Too many issues with this one to make me want to try it
again.

I definitely can understand that!  I had a similar experience in that I was able to connect and stay connected with a broken Versa so I didnt expect to have problems with the V2.   We'll see how things go...there is still much to learn and now that it's dependable, I'm happy.

I hate to tempt fate but I have few issues with the connection since my
original post.
Quite possibly I put the Verse at the top of the Bluetooth list by accident
but if I have another failure I will follow the "top of list" suggestions.
