Hello @Evan1228 and welcome to the Help forums.  The situation you are describing sounds like your Fitbit is in Sleep Mode.  Depending on your Fitbit model, you can do this accidentally.  Different models have different paths to turn Sleep Mode on and off.  On every page of the forums, the is a link marked "Help" on the page.  You can use it to get your Fitbit's user manual.  All manuals have the procedure to control Sleep Mode.
