As of about three hours ago I could log exercise and sleep directly from the Dashboard. As of an hour and a bit ago, I went to start logging a walk, and there was no + sign on the "exercise" Dashboard item. I was able to log the walk by
--> selecting the dashboard item for exercise,
--> working out that the little stopwatch icon on the subpage was potentially helpful,
--> access the "track / log" screen there.
Similar situation for "Sleep" though I haven't tried logging that yet.
Why on *earth* would the designers want to bury functions that were one layer into the app and put them three layers in? Especially for core features of the product? I contacted Support about this, and apparently it was not something wrong with my app, it is a deliberate choice.
This, on top of the occasional hanging when logging foods that aren't on the "custom" list, and the app Dashboard sometimes resetting to the bottom when I switch between apps, are making me seriously consider switching to some other device--and I've been happy with Fitbit for at least 3 years.

Since the iOS update, the Fitbit will No longer allow me to input exercise manually. This was not a problem prior to the problem prior to the update.
The number of issues following the update is unacceptable. Fitbit are a big
Investment for me and many others. If these aren’t corrected I certainly will no longer be using this device. Fitbit, are you taking steps to remedy these many issues?
thanks

Hi @AuburnBoy your posts were merged because cross posting is discouraged on the forums. I'll move this to the iOS area, as others have mentioned it happening to them.

I had the same problem this morning, thank you for pointing me in the right direction with logging exercise. Hopefully this is just an oversight by the developers and we will see the plus sign back where it belongs.
Cheers

Glad I could help with an interim solution, while we wait for it to actually be fixed!

Fitbit Support is aware of this problem but as usual, they don’t seem to care. They have not offered a permanent fix. It happened to my husband, who uses a One, and to me (Alta), yesterday morning.
Here’s a workaround:
Click on exercise tile
Click on the stopwatch icon, upper right corner
You can start GPS there or log your exercise

I noticed that, too. I am afraid I don't trust that it won't disappear again randomly, but I am pleased that it, and the sleep + sign, are back.
