when i search and fitbit app comes up it does not give me the option to download, just a
circle with a square that goes dim when i touch it. any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Out of curiosity, what type of iOS device are you trying to download the Fitbit App on?
Also, what software version is your iOS device running (ie iOS 10, iOS 9.3, etc)?
Lastly, are you able to download the Fitbit App using this link?

I upgraded the app, now it appears that I can no
longer see the activity minutes. Help!

Hello @Senior71, it's nice to see you around.
Would it be possible the Active Minutes tile is hidden? If you're able to see the rest of your information, (steps, floors, calories and distance) this might be the case. Please scroll down until you're able to see a pink Edit button. Tap on the button, this will show any hidden tile on the app, if Active minutes is hidden it will have a plus sign on the top left corner, tap on it to make it visible, then tap on the pink Done button to save the changes.
