Well, it only figures I should have tread a bit more carefully in beta waters. =(
I am trying out dev beta of iOS 11. As of so far, all of the apps I use have been working well. Along with only one other app (that I cannot think of which it is) that I use, the Fitbit app also keeps crashing on my iPhone. It has worked seamlessly throughout iOS 10 of course. But iOS 11 is not playing nice with Fitbit. I have even hard-reset my iPhone with iOS 11, started from scratch and installed Fitbit app. No cure. I hope somebody over in Fitbit app developer land is aware of this issue, and a fix comes soon. Thanks.

I just got the FitBit Charger 2. When I open the app it immediately closes. I turned off the Bluetooth and the app stays open - but I can’t sync the fit bit with my phone with the Bluetooth off. So how can I fix this issue?? Thanks in advance!

@RaeRae1107 I had that exact same issue with beta 1. You have to unregister it from the app and your phone and set it up as if you’ve never used it before. You have to also unpair it from your iPhone in the Bluetooth settings and then delete the app. Also gotta make sure you unregister it in your account within the Fitbit app. Then delete the app. Reinstall it, login and then set it up as a new device.

.....or, just get a new iPhone, a new Fitbit, and be born again.

Hi all!
I was having the same issue as everyone was describing here. I have a Charge 2 and an iPhone 7 plus with the 2nd public beta (15A5318g). I was receiving call notifications but I was not receiving text notifications. I tried resetting my Fitbit, deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app, forgetting my Fitbit on Bluetooth, restarting my phone, and doing all of these options at once. None of these were successful.
However I FINALLY fixed the issue by resetting my iPhone settings. Here are the steps I took.
1. I deleted the Fitbit app.
2. I went into my Bluetooth settings and clicked on my Charge 2 and pressed "forget this device"
3. I reset my Charge 2 using the steps outlined here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186
4. I reset my iPhone. Go to iPhone settings app>reset>reset all settings. As explained by other before, this will not delete photos, apps, or text messages etc. but it will delete WiFi settings, reset sound settings, disable touch ID, delete apple pay information, and remove your wallpaper.
5. After the reset was complete, I re downloaded Fitbit, connected by device back to the Bluetooth, and enabled notifications in the Fitbit settings as well as on the Fitbit, and I am now getting my text notifications!
A lot of steps, and I'm not sure if all of them were necessary, but I did not want to have to reset my phone twice and finally it all appears to be working as it once was! I was as frustrated as you all were.
Hopefully this works for others too!

@I think @RaeRae1107 meant iOS 11 beta tester. Best place to discuss iOS 11 is: https://forums.developer.apple.com/welcome

What final version of iOS 11 are you using? The official iOS 11 hasn’t launched. All are beta.
Thank you,
Rachel
I think he meant the Fitbit Beta 😉

Guys, of course everyone is talking about iOS 11, it's in the title. And sure, it is beta and errors are to be expected. But of the 269 apps currently installed on my iPhone, Fitbit is the only one that is essentially not working with iOS 11.
Also, what are the betas for? Exactly, for developers to make sure their apps work before the final release. For Fitbit to do nothing and just wait (?) until iOS 11 is being released to the public so millions of users will have that problem just does not make sense to me.
