iOS 11 beta, Fitbit app crash

Well, it only figures I should have tread a bit more carefully in beta waters. =(

I am trying out dev beta of iOS 11. As of so far, all of the apps I use have been working well. Along with only one other app (that I cannot think of which it is) that I use, the Fitbit app also keeps crashing on my iPhone. It has worked seamlessly throughout iOS 10 of course. But iOS 11 is not playing nice with Fitbit. I have even hard-reset my iPhone with iOS 11, started from scratch and installed Fitbit app. No cure. I hope somebody over in Fitbit app developer land is aware of this issue, and a fix comes soon. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for the feedback, we are currently monitoring the situation.

As a reminder, iOS 11 is still a beta product. We do not officially support any unreleased operating systems. If there are any updates, I'll post in this thread. Thanks!

Great......worked for me.........THANKS

All i did on Iphone SE running ios 11 beta, was to uninstall fitbit app and re download and install and all worked fine.....Did not change any settings.....the one thing I would like to figure out is how to change my wife's account over to mine.....in other words from female to male!!! I have changed everything like name, weight, hight and all but it keeps saying my cardio numbers are in range for women of this group.....should I just delete account and start new....not a big deal and I do love my charge hr..I have a heart condition and monitor heart rate closely.

There was a new iOS 11 Beta 3 released to developers yesterday. My notifications & Fitbit app are working fine so far since I've installed it...

I’m a iOS 11 Beta tester also and I have seen this issue as well. I contacted Fitbit and they basically said they could not do anything about it. Apple, however, is going to investigate the issue!

Should fix these issues if it's the same as iOS 11 Dev Beta 3

I don't get it, I just don't get it........

I am on iOS 11, Dev beta 3 (15A5318g), iPhone 6s Plus. I have a Fitbit Charge 2 on my wrist. I still do not have text notifications on my Fitbit. Call notifications I do receive. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fitbit app on iPhone. I did a soft reset on Fitbit, need to think about (and figure out how to do) a hard reset of Fitbit device.

How in the world do some people have notifications working, and some don't?

Only thought is maybe different Fitbit devices are being talked about here.

....btw, why is this topic marked SOLVED?? It ain't solved. Would love to change that status.

*edit* well, I did start this thread with the issue of "crash". The Fitbit app no longer crashes, fair enough that is solved. Do I start a new thread? Probably not with all the steam this thread is getting regarding notifications.

There is 2-3 threads about notifications not working. They should consolidate them all into one

@Freakonomics101 what do you mean reset all settings exactly?

I'm iPhone 6S iOS 11 beta 3 and Charge 2 with still no text notifications.

I went to the settings menu and selected the “reset all settings” option and then when the phone reset, went back into the Fitbit app and enabled notifications.

Perfect!! This worked for me! Do note it will reset ALL your app notification settings, general, WiFi etc so don’t do this lightly.

For me though it’s worth it to get those text notifications.
