Update 9/17/2019: We have released iOS app version 3.6.1 to all users. Please update your app to this version. It is recommended to all experiencing continuous crashes and should resolve this issue.
Hi Everyone - I've merged several posts together.
We're aware of an issue that may cause some iOS users to experience a continuous crash when trying to open the app after updating to version 3.6.
To resolve this, please try to uninstall and reinstall the app from the app store. Even if you have tried this previously, please try again.
If this does not work, our team is working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.

When will a tested update which works be available? If this is a known problem why is the failed version on the AppStore with no warning to prevent downloading? That would have dissuaded me from downloading the failure version.

The solution works until I shut down the app once. It then requires a reinstall before working again. Hope a true solution is forthcoming...

@PeteHR @KateFitbit I’ve had the most current version of iOS for several days. Prior to the version 3.6 Fitbit update the app was working just fine. I updated to version 3.6 today, late morning. It’s not been working since. This leads *me* to the conclusion that it is *not* an iOS issue. Fitbit is notorious for pushing out buggy updates and I’ll bet that this is no exception.

Please help, the app crashed as i was setting up my brand new charge 3 and so it paused the installation and never let me unpause so i had to restart the fitbit.
now that ive restarted the bluetooth and everything seems to be fine but the screen is black and therefore i cant see the numbers i need in order to connect the new device to the fitbit app. (P.s its vibrating but screen is just black)
please help!

I updated the app and now when I try to open it, the community page flashes onto the screen and then disappears! I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it’s still happening. It’s very frustrating 😞

I’d like to confirm that its a version issue on Fitbit end. I have 3.4 running on my iPad and the Versa syncs fine to it. However, version 3.6 is on my iPhone and it crashes upon opening (except for the first time after a fresh install).

Tried the uninstall and re-stall. The # of steps is now correct but the sync process is still an issue. It tries to sync but then I get a red bar that states, failed to sync this device. Silent alarms will not work.

3.6 that I updated yesterday is no longer showing in my updated section but 3.6 is now available to update again!!! Is this a BUG free 3.6??? I guess I have no choice but to try as the current app isn’t working! But a message to advise that it’s SAFE would be good????

I also uninstalled and reinstalled and trying to connect my tracker to my phone and nothings happening!
Also my iPhone can’t find it in Bluetooth!

Hi I am completely up to date with my iphone 12.4.1. I use the fitbit app daily and since the latest update it crashes as soon as I try to launch it. I have now deleted and redownloaded the app several times. It works on initial launch and then as soon as you close it, the following time causes it to crash again!

Resolved by reinstalling, had to go to my purchases page to get the update

I have uninstalled and re installed. Turned bluetooth on and off. Changed password and app is still not opening. Have now been waiting over 20 mins for a response on the live chat option.
